et today

Post by 41andscaredsilly »

i think i may have found the right place . . .

Transfer was today, I cried when doc said the four remaining embryos (we started with 18 eggs nine of which fertilized, only to lose all but four, in his opinion, likely wouldn't turn into a viable pregnancy.

To go through the hell of the injections, labs, and ultrasounds just to be told on transfer day the embryos don't seem good is just excruciating.

im trying to stay positive: 18 to 9 to 4 --- hopefully the near 50% attrtion rate means we"ll have two babies!!!

praying a lot for all of us!!

i am breakng my vow of staying off the boards my headr t so goes out to you

I think it was terrible for the dr to say this too you.. alot of this is the power of positive thinking

first of all what day did you transfer? 3 or 5?

Let me give you the last history of my last 2 cycles which both ended in chemical pgs.. .. opposite to you .. whle i didnt succeed mty Dr was suprised that i didnt succeed..

ok # 5 13 eggs 9 embryos 4 blastocysts day 5 transfer
#6 16 eggs 12 mature 10 fertilized 6 blasts day 5 transferred 4 they other 2 didnt make it to freeze...

seemslike for a woman our age pretty norml and you had embryos!!! do yo uknow how maany women our age dont even get there.. who is you RE???
At 4 ou chances are 10-15% per cycle to get a live baby.. but the fact that you had so many eggs is a good sign!!!

I am here if you need me
Me 43 dh 65
6 cycles 3 chemicals
13+ banking cycles. 2 failed transfers to Surro
12/9 transfer 2 hatching blasts to surro beta 12/ 15

I agree with NY4thtry - I can't believe your RE told you this. I have seen lots of times that women start with a lot of eggs only to end up with a few at transfer time and still get their BFP. I will be praying that you do get your BFP and then you can rub it in your RE's face. Good luck and keep us posted.

I just wanted to wish you all the luck and prayers in the world. The injection are emotionally and physically draining but to hear that kind of news from your RE is incomprehensible. My heart goes out to you. Think positive thoughts!!
