Hello ladies, got no reponses from the other forum so I am hoping that you will be able to help me here!

a quick question: apart from the shot that makes your eggies mature before EC do you get other shot of HCG after ET?

I normally did, on the day of the embies transplant, the day after and 2 days after that (i think it was 1500 units of gonadotropin (?))

I will have EC on saturday, and I asked my doc about it, she said no, they dont do it...
So i am not sure if I should insist to have it or not

No, I didn't have any shots. I was just put on vaginal progesterone tablets and Estrace. Good luck to you!

I was given progesterone shots to give myself after ET and I did those until I was 10 weeks pregnant. Good Luck To You!

Me neither, I've only heard of a couple of people on this forum who had HCG shots after transfer. Like others have said, I had progesterone and estadriol (and folic acid!) but no hcg shot (only for triggering).

I have a friend who got an HCG shot after her IUI, but I didn't have one post ET and I've seen very few descriptions here from IVF ladies who have. Good luck!

I had 3 additional shots after my trigger. Each one was 2,500 units of HCG.. I was told that would hlep my lining but not all women at my clinic use that protocol but I don't know why. I also did the pregesterone shots to help my lining... Hope that helps.

Well I had a 3 day 3 embies put back yesterday. and did not get the extra HCG shot as I get usually. I nearly asked my doctor and decided against it .

now it is the patience game
