Why no heavy lifting after ET?

Post by chachacha33 »

I have just had a FET yesterday and was told no heavy lifting. I have a one year old daughter from IVF and it is impossible not to lift her. Already I've had to pick her up twice today. She weighs over 12kg! Can anyone tell me why you are not supposed to lift anything heavy? I assume women who get pregnant naturally will carry on their daily routines as normal and some would not even know they were pregnant.

Thank you

Hello

Hi ,
I am not sure why they say heavy lifting however, I think it has something to do with having better odds and not putting an extra pressure on the uterues. I was told the same thing no heavy lifting when I had my pulps removed last year. With lots of luck you will know soon if your pregnat soon and will be able to pick up your daughter all the time. :D
I wish you all the best of luck
Eve :D

Thanks Eve :D

Saw my IVF doctor today and she said I could lift my daughter up and go to the gym if I wanted to! She said to just not overdo it. My daughter has been very upset that I have been refusing to pick her up so I'm happy I can again.

Hi chachacha33,
Thats great news that you can pick up your daughter. I am sure she is the one who is the happiest :D I can imagine it would be hard for your daughter to understand why you could not pick her up. Its bearly something we understand
I wish you all the best .
Have a wonderful day
