I had my first beta taken last week at 10dp5dt it was 586 and I had my second today 16dp5dt 3527. This means my number hasn't been doubling every 48 hours, is this ok?

Oh I am having the same problem.... 8dp5dt my beta was 171.6 and then 10dp5dt it was only 269. I wonder if it has to do anything with the time. On Sat when they did the first beta it was done at 11:30pm and then my beta on Monday was done at 8:45am (around 33hrs b/w the two).... I am sure everything is fine. We will be ok =]

Doubling beta #'s is not a science. It is just a reference. Some RE's want the beta to double from 48 to 72 hours. Plus some PG are a little slower then others. So IMHO I think both of you are doing all right. Just try and relax until you next beta. Wishing both of you the best of luck.

I suspect you're doing fine. The doubling rule is just a rough approximation. Yours are just a little short of doubling.

First of all, Congrats! Having reached this phase in this tough journey, I hope you are relaxed and are enjoying every moment.
I agree too that the levels are really good.

What I realised was there is something called a discriminatory level of the beta HCG, at which 100% of normally progressing pregnancy gestational sacs are seen, which is 1500 for a singleton and 3372 for triplets. If not seen, the pregnancy is not going fine. An ultrasound with sac features and dating would be more reliable at this stage. Good luck...
