WAITING LISTS for DE with CZECH IVF CLINICS

Post by Jeannie T »

Hi Everyone:

I went through a DE cycle just recently and I suspect I am not pregnant (well, I'm 11Dpt3dt and the POAS keeping saying BFN so I'm calling the OB/GYN today and CLARIFYING I need a pregnancy test, AGAIN!)
The 2 embryos left over did not make it to freezing stage, so I have to start the process all over again.
The clinic I am going through currently has an 11 month waiting list.

My question to those of you out there that have been going to Czech clinics is what is your waiting list time line like and what clinic are you using?

I am 43 years old (as of yesterday) and do not have the time to waiting around almost a year just to try this again.

Time is of the essence kind of a thing for my husband and I.

Thank for your input :)

Hi Jeannie,
I did DE in the Czech last January (2008) and only had to wait about a month because I got a cancellation. I did inquire about doing another cycle (which isn't going to happen) but I was told in June that I could do my cycle in September so the waiting list doesn't appear to be very long. I guess it depends on whether they can find a suitable donor.
I am sorry that your cycle didn't work and I wish you all the best in your future cycle!!

Dear Jeannie,
I wouldn't give up hope that this cycle didn't work. I did DE in Prague and also had a 3 day transfer. My first HPT to show a very faint positive was 14 days past transfer and I am now 24 weeks pregnant and am 44 years old.

The clinic I was at said there would be a 6 month wait, but they found a donor after one month.

If you feel like stopping by the Donor Egg/egg-heads thread on the General Forum, you will find a lot of other women there with similar experiences.

Wishing you all the best,
xx summer

Thanks Kelly and Summer :) Your replies are great!

I'm not really losing hope (the 35% chance it will not take is just the statistical reality) but thinking even if I'm pregnant, I want to be on the waiting list for our 2nd child (see, I'm REALLY an optomist - hehe).

Thank you for the thread lead Summer - didn't know about that one.

The clinic sent me another email and although I made it clear that we are current customers, have frozen sperm, I am 43 years old, etc etc, they still responded that the waiting list will be May 2010 for me. I then CLARIFIED that I'd like to be put on the waiting list, in case I am not already (to err is to be human).

I go for my blood test today Summer and since I'm 13 days out, I'm still getting negative HPT results but haven't put too much faith in them. Keeping fingers crossed !
