I hear that with a day 3 transfer of embryos, the chances of multiples are higher... Why is that? Is that true?? Anyone has had such a thing happen? or is it very random as anything else

Clinics compensate for the lower implantation rates on day 3 (when compared to day 5) by transferring more embryos on day 3 than on day 5. This practice causes the higher chance of getting a multiple with typical day 3 transfers.
If the same number and quality of embryos (say, two embryos of highest apparent grade) was always transferred on each of those days, then the higher multiple rate would be in the day 5 transfers because of the higher implantation rate.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
