April 2010 Babies

Post by BabiesGalore »

Just wanted to start this thread for those expecting their miracles in April. This was our fourth try. I got my BFP on the 6th and went in today for our first u/s and saw one beautiful heartbeat. The baby is measuring 6w2d and we go back again next week. Being cautiously optimistic here as we lost our last one at 17.5 weeks so just praying that we make it all the way here. Hope to see other ladies join this thread. There should be lots of u from the july/aug thread. Hugs

Hi

We had our first scan today and are measuring on target at 7w6d with a strong heartbeat. The baby is due 1st of April. We did all have a bit of a laugh about it being April fools day, but hey it doesn't really matter.

Looking forward to sharing our experiences.

Hello ladies... I look forward to sharing this experience which each of you. I am another cautiosly optimistic person, I too lost a pregnancy at 17 weeks. We have decided not to say a word to anyone until far into the 2nd trimester, if it was truly up to me, noone would know until I started showing. I have my last appt with the RE Friday and my first with my OB in a week. My miracle is due April 2, 2010!!!

How is everyone feeling? I have been pretty sick, but have only lost my lunch once so far. Just pretty much feeling sick all day and no energy whatso ever.... But it surely will be totally worth it in the end :D

Hi

I have been feeling sick and very tired too. I have only been sick 4 or 5 times so not too bad really. Our immediate family know but that is it apart from my boss etc as my job is supporting labs and so need to be careful.

By the way, how do you get the ticker at the bottom of your post?

So glad to see more April babies.

Ange: That is so funny about april fool. But for all u know this baby will either come out before or after. For the ticker, go to lilliepie and follow the instructions then select the bbcode from the forum list and only paste from <img> in your signature line in the profile. It took me several tries.

True: Wow. u are already moving on to u're ob. Good luck with the next u/s on friday. How many weeks are u now? Asking my RE till when they will see me. Last time they released me at around 7 weeks but i want to stay with them longer in case of any complications. I am with u for not telling people given our last loss. So far i've only told two of my closest friends and my sis.

I have had some nausea but no morning sickness so far. I keep wanting it to come though so that i can feel that this is a normal pregnancy. I did not have any with my last one. Is that weird?

Looking forward to sharing lots more with u ladies.

Hi Guys

Just wonder what you think to this. My scan yesterday was an internal scan. Then today twice when I have wiped there has been a tiny bit of blood. No pain. It was once this morning and then once this evening. Do you think this is a problem?

Ange: I was clearly told by both my RE and nurse that i could get some spotting due to the u/s exam. They said it is very common for us to spot after such exams or intercourse. So do not worry. Only worry if it turns bright red and is a full flow accompanied with cramps. If it continues lie down for a bit.

I guess I can officially jump to this board after the day I've had. I went to the bathroom this morning to do my endometrin inserts and there was blood when I wiped. It was bright red, but no clots, and no cramping. I was freaking out and couldn't stop crying. PLUS, I was at work! I called the nurses and they said to come on in for a scan. DH picked me up and we rushed to the doctor's office for a scan. We did the scan on the u/s machine that is normally used during the transfer, so the picture wasn't great, but there they were. TWINS! They measured right on track at 6weeks 2days. We also saw their heartbeats, but they couldn't be measured due to the u/s machine. Our first scan is scheduled for the 25th. The bleeding has stopped. My doctor did not see anything wrong w/ the babies and said it was good that I wasn't clotting or cramping. She did see possibly some small bleeding behind one of the placentas, but wasn't concerned about it right now. So, all seems well. She gave me a due date of 4/13/10, but said I shouldn't expect to make it that far. I'm not excited yet, b/c I'm still really afraid that something could happen. I'm remaining cautiously optimistic and hoping for the best!

Hi ladies. My little one is due April 7. My next sono is a week from today, and like many of you, I am very cautious and a bit nervous that something could go wrong. This is my 1st pregnancy after 11 years of marriage and our 1st ivf cycle. Our last sono showed a beautiful strong heartbeat. Btw, endometrin inserts are NASTY lol.

Hello everyone.. I want to first say welcome to the newcomers... I look forward to shring our experiences over the next 8 months. I pray that everyone has a successful pregnancy, and we see many pretty pictures come April!!!

Mary Congrats on the twins.... Relax and enjoy your pregnancy!

I am 8 weeks today, and have my last scheduled RE appt today. I was to be released last week, but they decided to keep me another week due to my previous lost. I have my first OB appt Wed, the 26th. Hopefully that will give me another chance to see my little bean. I am going to be with a high risk Dr this time around, so I should be reciving my protocol on how we plan to try to get through this pregnancy successful. The last time we spoke, he said he would see me more often, I would probably recieve a cerclage and progesterone shots. So, we will see if anything has changed next week. I am anxious, and willing to try anything to get to 28 weeks and beyond for a healthy baby.

I may not get a chance to check back in today to give an update, but I will sometime over the weekend. Hope you ladies are feeling well and aren't too sick!!! :)

Wow I never thought I would be joining a group like this! Yay! I'm still in shock that I'm really pregnant...just doesn't seem real yet. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow and my due date is April 17th. This was my third time doing IVF...I guess the third time's a charm? Hee! Hee! My first ultrasound is the 28th and I'm praying for a strong heartbeat. I'm not experiencing many symptoms other than I goto bed earlier because I get tired by early evening...but I seem to have a lot of energy during the day, which is great because I work with kids. I look forward to going through this process with all of you. This board ROCKS! 8)

BabiesGalore: Thanks for your quick response last night. I thought it could be that and you really put my mind at rest. I got no more so am relieved.

Welcome to all those newcomers and congratulations to you all. It is such an exciting time even though worrying too.

I had not felt sick all day and thought I'd got a day off. Such a silly thought. 1/2 hour before cooking dinner the nausea hit. the lasagne is now in the oven but I am not really sure if I will have any! I don't mind really. Think it will be an early night though ha ha!
