cord banking

Post by nancy1 »

Hi ladies,

have any of you considered it? I am seriously thinking about it, especially in light of history of cancer in my family and the extensive stem cell research going on now and the many future benefits that look promising at this point.
I am considering 2 companies which most of oyu have read about in the magazines: VIACORD AND CBR.

I am leaning more towards viacord since they do a lot of research themselves about stem cell and their contract with fixed price is for 25 years vs 18 for CBR.

Any comments?

Yes, I am seriously thinking of doing it....especially since I had a sisiter who died at 12 years old from an unknown disease.
I am also leaning towards Viacord, not only because they do research, but because you are able to use them in case of a C-section also. From what I understand, they have the only FDA approved collection bag for C-sections.
The prices are a little high (especially for us fertility girls) since I just spent enough money to buy a new car to get pregnant, but if it someday saves my baby's life, it's worth it!!!
