Hi Everyone!
I am new here. I have a 5 y/o daughter via IVF and am now 5 weeks pregnant with baby #2 via another IVF. It has been 6 years since I've been through this and I forgot all of the medications that are involved before, during, and after the IVF. I am currently taking prometrium tablets and applying two Climara patches - changing those every 3 days. The literature that comes with the Climara patches say that it is in pregnancy category X, which of course has me freaked out. My RE and the pharmacist explained that it is routine to use these for the first trimester of pregnancy following IVF to allow the uterine lining to maintain the pregnancy. I trust my RE completely, but it is just unnerving to use something that says it should not be used in pregnancy! Has anyone else here used Climara patches following IVF? I am supposed to stay on them for the entire first trimester! Thanks for any input!
