42 year old 1st IVF day 2 embryo transfer

42 year old just did my 1st IVF FSH 225iu twice daily for about 8 days with good estradiol response and 7 follicles, retrived 4 eggs, 2 fertilized. Only one embryo on day 2 with 4 cells of uniform sizes and minimal fragmentation (2%). I was told that this one viable embryo is of very good quality. Transferred this only one embryo on day 2. Anybody had day 2 tansfer with only one embryo and succeeded? Any similar expeience for 40+ women out there? Did you get pregnant eventually? Very streesed right now. Thanks for any response.

I have not had this experience, but want you to know I have seen many success stories from many different situations so please don't give up. There are other options from holistic or alternative to donors and adoption. One of them may be right for you. I wish I could help more, but i will be praying for you. Just another note of possible interest: there is an over 40's thread off the General Forum. One of those ladies may be able to shed some light on what you are going through.
