what are your thoughts on cord blood banking?

given how much efffort is put into stem cell research and its promises, it is a one in a lifetime opportunity to give your child the hope that if he/she ever needs it. You can visit any of the cord websites and see the curent applications as well as areas of research.
I made plans to save my baby's cord and while I hope to never have to use, it is a great peace of mind to have it.
Do your research thoroughly. Don't get ripped off by companies who charged too much, or charge very littttle but have only been around for a short while.
