clomiphene

Post by Kat »

Hi Amanda, welcome to the site - suggest you post on the general forum and more people will see your message. I tried clomiphene and it did not work for me but it worked for my sister in her second month of taking it - she now has a 3 yr old daughter and then fell pg naturally soon after with her second so the clomiphene kick started her system, so it could well work for you too. Can't answer your question about irregular periods but I am sure someone will...<br>Love, Kat x

Hi Amanda,

I too am about to start my first cycle of Clomid but don't know anyone who has had success.
How did your treatment go? Any luck?

Hi,

I have used clomid many times!! I was successful on my first cycle and have a gorgeous DD aged 4!! unfortunatly I have had a number of cycles since trying for a second child!! but not been as lucky, but its definatly worth a try My friend had 2 cycles and fell pregnant and also my SIL had a 2 year old after several tries. As for getting af back on track I have been using Angus Castus, I have read on the CARE BB that a number of ladies who have very irregular AF's have been taking it and some have gone on to have regular 28 day cycles! although I have stopped taking it when I have been having treatment.

Good Luck

clomid

Post by Lavender »

Hi Amanda,

Clomid is one of the most common drugs prescibed to stimulate ovulation. For most of the people it works fine with just 50 mgs. Before taking Clomid make sure you don't have any structural damages in your tube. I had clomid and had an ectopic pregnancy. Now my tubes are scarred and damaged. I cannot have a natural pregancy and can only go for IVF. So please make sure that your tubes are OK before taking the clomid. Lot of Drs prescribe Clomid not knowing the actual reason behind the theory. This is my experience on the pill. I dont mean to scare you. I have seen few of my friends on Clomid who had healthy babies.

goodluck!

i am currently on cycle day 13, and i took 50mg of clomid days 5-9 this cycle. i have done clomid one time previously, same dosage, in october of 2005. i was supposed to have iui done also, but i cancelled it. that cycle was unsuccessful

i didn't have any side effects from the clomid.

my hubby and i are dealing with just male factors now. i previously had a uterine septum, which was successfully removed in june of 2005. i got preg naturally in august of 2005, even with sperm issues. but sadly, i miscarried @ 6 weeks.

and so my fight with this ***** called infertility is on again...

best of luck everyone ^__^

Hi Amanda!
I guess it deped on what your problem is. Unfortunately Clomiphene did not work for me and neither did Clomiphene with IUI but my problem is believed to be with transport and my fallopian tubes. I was however highly responsive to the development of follicles. I produced between 4-7 follicles each time and I know several people that Clomiphene has worked for. I hope you will be one of the lucky ones. Good luck and please let us all know. We could use some success stories.

I took clomid for 4 cycles with no luck. I have heard a lot about Ovulex. It is a natural Fertility enhancer and no chemicals like clomid. I am waiting for my first bottle to try it. I will keep everyone posted.

Good luck to everyone.
