need advice

Hello,

I went for my 7 week ultrasound on Monday, and got disturbing news. There was a faint flutter, but no steady heartbeat. The embryo is also much smaller than it should be (4mm, instead of 11mm). The RE has basically said it is over. We did another ultrasound today, just to be sure, and he came to the same conclusion. Of course, he left it up to me to decide what I want to do next.

Here's my quandry: if I stop the progesterone shots, there is no chance for a miracle (not that there is any indication that there could be one). If I don't stop the shots, and there is no miracle, I am just prolonging the process.

I just don't know what to do . . . I want to be realistic, but I have invested so much in this. -And I only have one frozen embryo. Is it silly to hope? I just wish I could "wait and see", but the choice I make today will have consequences.

Thoughts? Advice? Has anyone been through something similar?

p.s. My RE has offered no hope. He's been very kind, but not encouraging.

I am so sorry to hear your news, its devasting to get pregnant and then get bad news on u/s, i went thro exact same thing in May this yr - 7.5 wk scan faint heartbeat measuring only 6 wks, had 2nd scan 1 wk later no change still faint h/b so on 3rd scan unfortunately my little baby gave up. I had a d&c the next day as was told my body thought i was still pg and could take up to 3 months to lose it. Sorry to give you bad news but i did a lot of research during this time and unfortunatley there was only a 2% chance it would make it. I really hope you are in the 2% the only advice i can give is to go with your heart, we waited until there was no heartbeat as there was no way i could have had a d&c if there was even the slightest flutter even though we were told there was no hope at scan 2 i needed to be 100% sure it had died before d&c. You and dh are in my thoughts and prayers during such a difficult time. I got pg again 2 mths later on frozen cycle but unfortunatley lost that too had d&c 2 wks ago but got to keep battling on and pray my next little miracle will "stick" around.

I'm sorry for your news. I can't give you advice on your decision. But I saw that you said you only had 1 frostie left. I had 1 embie FET in October and got my BFP. So just because you only have 1, doesn't mean your journey is over.
