POI shots

I have a massive 2in X 2in lump on each cheek of my bum form the PIO shots. I have about 10 shots left to go and have had about 50. Do the lumps eventually go away? Is there anyway to help reduce them? Is there any way to avoid them, now that it may be too late?

Lisa10- Last cycle after I had a BFN I discontinued the shots and had a post allergic reaction

. I had large raised welts on my bum that were extremely itchy. I went back to RE I was allergic to the sesame seed oil the progesterone came in. Funny though not allergic to nuts. This cycle am doin progesterone in cotton seed oil, no problems yet

You may want to call your RE office to have them check it out. I even had to go on steroids to get rid of the hives, took a couple weeks to go away.

you must massage your butt each time !!

my DH rubs my butt at least 10 mins a night and then i sit on a heating pad to help loosen the oil.

the massage is a MUST!! he helps break up the knots.

i even draw up the oil and then sit on the heating pad and sit on the syringe with the oil in it to make sure its warmed up!

totally agree with me 2009! Warm oil, slow shot and then massage it! I find it itches a little after the shot so when DH massages immediately after it relieves that itch too.

I haven't had bumps or welts, but I do have black & blue marks. I do have a question for you ladies on PIO shots: did you experience muscle pain? I have had bad pain/ache that starts at the shot site and tends to radiate up the side of my hips/back. Any help/advice would be helpful. Thanks:)

Lisa... your dh is not doing his job!!! me2009 totally knows the deal! DH must massage area at least 10 minutes per night. Nothing like a good bum massage!

you can always get your RE to give you a RX for your DH to massage each night!

I swear by this:

Sit on heating pad & draw up PIO and warm it up too

and then have your DH massage DEEP TISSUE!! for atleast 10 MINS!

just think... HE IS GOING TO BE SORRY... if he doesnt do it! lol

massage 10 mins, or a wife who is grumpy...

Give him a shot... he will wise up!

I did drop the ball on the messaging. When I first started them, I had DH message the area, but then I didn't think it did anything so I stopped. I guess that's my problem.
