Lining not thick enough for FET - Ghost?

Post by joyanna »

Hello

I am supposed to do FET on Wed 6 Jan - I have 2 frozen blasts from a previous successful cycle. I had a scan today and my lining has decreased in thickness since my last scan a week ago - it has decreased from 8.5mm to 6.5mm.

I have started taking more estrogen (pills and patch now) and have another scan on monday to see if I can go ahead or cancel this cycle.

Have you seen this happen before? Do you know what may have caused this decrease? What would your clinic do? Ideally, how thick should my lining be for the FET transfer?

I have done 3 FETS - all BFN and I am just wondering if this thickness going up and down could be a factor.

Many thanks

Estradiol thickens the endometrium. For a fresh cycle (with much more estradiol from the many follicles), you want at least 8mm. For FET, it does not seem to be as critical. Maybe 7mm would work just as well.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
