OK I want the truth.... has anyone been baby shopping yet????? I think I have every catalogue going and have circled and highted bits I/we would like. Need to know I'm not alone in this madness!?!? Love Mags

Hi Mags OK I admit it - also have loads of catalogues and ventured into Mothercare last week but so far resisted temptation to buy - didn't realise there was so many decisions to be made about baby equipment and am now thoroughly confused - travel systems, 2 in 1's, 3 in 1's etc etc!!! lulu

Hiya I've resisted and haven't brought a thing yet. I have been known to visit the local Mamas and Papas though - just for research purposes of course!!!!!!!! Saw a fantastic double buggy at a shop in Winchester yesterday. I'll attach the website address for you, they had 3 different kinds. don't know about you, but I've hardly seen any so far. http://www.olivers-baby-care.co.uk/ I was given a really intersting piece of advice yesterday. The lady in this shop didn't recommend you use those carry car seat things too much as the baby does not lie flat and it ends up hunched over its diaphragm. She recommends a buggy and a normal car seat to avoid the amount of time you carry them round - when they're not travelling they should lie flat as much as possible. She reckons a lot of these carry systems are convenient for the parents but not necessarily good for the babies! Not sure if there's any truth in it but thought it was intesting nevertheless. Hope I haven't upset anybody that's already gone shopping. As I say, I'm sure the likes of Mamas and Papas conduct tons of research before producing these things!! Helen xx

Hi girls I still daren't look at baby stuff when I'm out shopping but I have copies of Mothercare, Jojomamanbebe & Blooming Marvellous catalogues (only looking for maternity clothes!). I've decided I'm going to start looking when I get past 20 weeks (5 weeks to go!). As regard double buggies - there's 3 or 4 in the Mothercare catalogue (not that I've looked!). Luv Rachel X

Hi All! The double buggy was the first thing we bought, at about 20 weeks. I've just been and bought a new one though 'cos at 13 months, my two are getting too heavy for our original cheap and cheerful but light (at first) buggy (Graco Duosport). I now have a 3-wheeler - thought people only bought them to be trendy but it's a dream to push! As a tip for twin mummies-to-be, if you see any twins equipment like pushchairs that you're not sure about, post a message on the message board at www.twinsclub.co.uk and someone will have it already/be able to offer advice about it. That's how I got the advice about the 3-wheeler buggy. It's also a really good board if you've got any queries about your pregnancy (yes I know I sound like I have shares in the site!). All the best. i cant help it.people have been bringing me over stuff. last year at a yard sell i bought one of those car looking walker chairs.one person was moving and didnt want to mess with selling any of her stuff so she gave it all to me. we have it all up in the barn.i did go on e-bay and got this realy nice out fit.it is yellow. i cant help it. all of the stuff is so cute.i am now over 10 wks along... we still have along ways to go.my dh is more excited then i am. but he is worried about jinksing everything. i told him that we just need to enjoy what we have and worry about tomarrow ,tomarrow.. i am glad that everyone is doing great... becky
