Ghost - question about 3 day transfer

Post by rsdrisco »

Question for you simply because I need something else to obsess about!
But seriously, just curious...

Ghost - I am about to go through ER and ET this week sometime for my 3rd round of IVF. I have seen your answers to a lot of 5 DT questions, but I have a question about the # of cells that are "good" to see in embryos for a 3DT. Is 4, 6, 8, (or other) good for # of cells in an embryo of this age? Just wondering when they do put back 3 (I am 43 and for my 1st two IVFs, they put back 3, so I assume they'll probably do the same with this one, too), I want to know what embryos are more likely to "work". BTW - they will be doing assisted hatching if that makes a difference in your answer.

On day 3, the ideal is 8 cells. 7 to 10 cells are almost as good as 8. The chance of implantation declines with the number of cells, so that embryos with only 4 cells or fewer have little chance.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
