Provera then Lupron anyone????

Im new to this board, but trying to learn more and get answers at the same times. I started the ivf process October 2008 but always something in the way.. I had a hydrosalpinx so they took my left tube and cleared my right tube before we could start the process. I moved and finally found a new Re in new jersey and a new job that covers 15,000 lifetime max.. yeaaay! So then everything was normal except my fsh at 12.2.. I got scared when she said i need to have a baby this yr,, So i delayed till November..I took coffee out my diet somewhat.. decaf,,, soda,, and took fertile blend, bee pollen, vitex and spirulina my fsh went down 9.. yeay! So started my lupron cd21 and all the way till I got a period .. Did U/S and bloodwork everything seemed perfect i was supressed!! yeay!!! Then she said we needed to schedule a hydrosonogram.. That friday!! We did it and oooooooooh boy a 3 cm fibroid had to come out!! So had hysterscopy to take it out n/p .. I took estrace for 4 weeks , then the last 10 days of the estrace i took progesterone. My perios came on cd41 im usually cd30 but the progesterone.. ukkk!My fsh was 4 on CD3 yeayy! (from all that estrace what did i expect).. Anyway.. cd 21 was SAT.. low progesterone and did not ovulate.. She prescribed provera for 7 days and Lupron on the 4th day??? This of course is the question????? I didnt ovulate, and you want my AF to come, and then suppress me more with Lupron??? Confused??? if anyone could answer this I would really appreciate it...[

You are being prepped for a stim in April, right? So they gave you provera to bring on menses, and the Lupron is there to get the suppression going. Of course, when you first start Lupron, it's a stimulant. It suppresses only after extended daily use because constant stimulation depletes the pituitary. A depleted pituitary cannot give enough of an LH surge to matter. By the time your stim cycle starts, the Lupron should have you suppressed.

Thankyou so much! I was confused.. Didnt make sense.. Yes! I am doing retrieval in April and the end of this month hopefully. Just trying to survive these Lupron headaches and ovary aches,,,
