Hi everyone,
First of all i'd like to say how much i admire you all for being so determined to become parents and its so unfair that its not as easy at it should be for you all as there are some out there who dont deserve to have chldren and take them for granted. Anyway, i am looking to become an egg donnor as i would love to help someone become a mummy as having had a baby myself i realise how important this is and how lucky i am to have had the opurtunity its a lovely an experience and if i could help somene with this then i would be very happy. I am looking into being an egg donner and would like to hear what this would mean to people and how exactly it works etc.

I don't know what country you are in however, I have just today found out i'm pregnant with a donors egg and my partner. This has been years in the making, and I had to go to Barcelona to take advantage of the no waiting lists. I live in Scotland where the laws changed and stopped donors being anonimous. This had huge impacts on waiting lists. However where ever you are, you have no idea the help of giving eggs to couples's desperate to have children is. I'm sure you would feel like your giving a gift, a chance, a hope. I know I will be eternally grateful. I kinda see it like giving blood, it's not like your giving a baby away, as eggs are nothing without sperm. I was going to start a Facebook campagn to try and encourage more females to at least think about it. If i could donate eggs I would, I really would.

I think it's absolutely wonderful if you would consider being an egg donor. I've met lots of women on this board that try with their own eggs and can't conceive. Then, they use donor eggs and tada! they are pregnant. It's an unbelieveable feeling the day that you get bad news that you and dh or partner cannot have biological children. You have no idea the hope and peace you bring to couples. I wish more people would consider it. I am trying to conceive myself, we have issues with my husband, so after I get pregnant, I too have thought about being an egg donor because now I realize what a gift it is.
