Hi All

Not been able to leave messages on here yet again but now I have registered again before I know it I will have I don't know how many user names.

Just to let you all know I have been for another scan today and everything seems to be going to plan. When they put the gel on my tummy and moved the scanner over they pointed my baby out there he/she was curled up in a ball and then they pressed harder on my tummy to pick the heartbeat up and there it was pumping away and the baby moved, its arms started moving and legs was going I was so amazed how much it had grown.

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Love

Shell.
xx

That's great news Shell - it's amazing seeing their little bodies for the first tim4e isn't it!! Sounds like your little one wasn't too happy at being woken up - don't think I would be if I'd been prodded about!!!!

Do you get another scan at 12 weeks or is this you done for a while??

take care.

Helen xx
Shell

was wondering where you were and assumed you had problems in the logging on department - well done you - I am waiting for my nuchal scan at around 11/12 weeks so 2/3 weeks time and still flapping that baby has stopped growing. Stop the pessaries on Saturday and think once I accept that I will produce my own progesterone will be glad as they are foul. I get an awful lot of bloatedness - this surely is not all baby and colon is playing up a bit and stretching pains most days when I am walking around not resting - which is hard at work!
Take care and well done
Love
Tracey
xxx

Hi Shell - was getting worried that the board had been too quiet without you! Glad to know you're fine and that all is ok with the little'un.

I had my scan yesterday (just to check that there was something there and I hadn't contracted some weird topical disease) and fortunately everything looks fine - one little heartbeat! It was so weird to see another thing Living Inside, but it all feels much more real now.

I haven't had any tests or anything yet, so don't know what they're about as the midwives where I live don't book you in until you're 10 weeks and I'm 8 weeks on Saturday, although I had originally calculated that I would be 8 weeks on Thursday, but they must calculate it from ET not EC.

Does everyone have the same scans?

Love Sally x

Sally

well done you on the scan and you sound more upbeat - people have different scans - I need and want a nuchal as I am 37 in july and infertility so double risk or double freebie - I am also on hols for a week at 12.4 so needed to book in now to get in - otherwise would have been 10 weeks booking in.
Shell a nuchal is to measure the thickness of the baby's neck which is a good indicator or downs risk - it ok then don't have to have the blood tests.
Shell having one baby so same as you and Sally.
Love
Tracey
xxxxxxxx

Hi All

Has it been quiet without me I am the quiet one on the board remember LOL.

Sally I am glad your feeling a little better in yourself because I read your post before and you seemed quite down but it is nice and I am pleased that you have picked up a little.

Tracey I bet you still can't believe you are pregnant, I can't, but I don't like the sickness I wish it would go away!! but hey the joys of being pregnant, I love it really.

Hope everyone is ok.

Love
Shell. x
Hi Trace - you know I feel like a completely different person to last week, and don't feel at all panicky or depressed. Totally weird or what. I have put it down to psycho hormones, because when my ICSI failed last Nov, I was really depressed for 2/3 weeks which ended with a huge hysterical fit, then I was fine and didn't cry again. So similarly, I have put this down to excess hormones and shock. I also felt really happy seeing the scan yesterday and seeing its little heart, so am sure it was all a flash in the old pan. Nevertheless, I am still going to see the counsellor, (as I'd booked the appointment for Friday anyway and she sounded lovely), because she also said she does hypno-birthing hypnosis for people who are terrified of birth, and as that's one of my major fears, thought it might be a good idea to find out more and see if she can help. Was thinking I could perhaps adapt her technique/get a Paul McKenna video as well for his tips with a view to learning hypnotism myself, for hypnotising DH to buy me presents every week ha ha!

Ooooh, I am 37 in Jan, so might also need the nuchal test - will ask about that one when I see the midwife in a couple of weeks.

Love sally xxx
