Help....I don't know what to do?

I am new here....I am suppossed to start my cycle(i guess that's how u call it)soo,i should've get my period on tuesday 04/20 so i can give the blood for testing ,but the period is late.I tested myself last nite it was negative:(it had never been late befor ever....i don't know what to do...i guess i am not pregnant i want to start my ivf....what could be the reason for the delay

There could be several reasons why your period doesn't start (around here, we call it AF, Auntie Flow!!). There seems to be a general tendency that, when you want AF to come (because of a treatment), she doesn't. Many people around here report the very same thing. I'm also quite regular, I've done many treatment cycles before, I expected AF to come 2 days ago because that's what happened in my last cycles... but guess what, she's still not there!

I know it's unnerving, and I know first cycles (I assume it's your first IVF?) are particularly stressful, everything is new and you want to know what to expect, but I've only seen two or three remedies work:

1- above all, keep busy to keep your mind off tmts
2- do the AF jig
3- having sex can sometimes trigger AF

thanks a lot.....i will try to keep myself busy,i just spoke to the nurse at the clinic she said that i am just stressing too much and that could be the reason,and yes that is my first cycle and i am scared

((((((HUGS)))))) I know it's easier said than done, but one thing that IVF taught me was to learn how to let go of what I can't control, trust my body by remembering that it's doing its best, and just go with the flow. Everything will happen in its own time, let it come to you, it will.

Yeah, Sophie is sooo right !!!!! I know easier said then done, but IVF is stressful and unpredictable. That is one thing I have learned I have no control over anything .It is the most important part of my life and I have lost ALL CONTROL I have a DD, I never had to do IVF @ that time. I've been doin IVF over a year now Sometimes, I wonder why I am here still, one failed cycle one miscarriage and 2 cancelled cycles. I was preggars, and was on cloud nine, so I'll try again my last shot @ IVF. You have to relax and take one day @ a time, cause you will drive yourself crazy just thinking about it. Try to think positive, in a month you could be preggars and this will be all over with. My first cycle I was actually excited, it felt like christmas was just around the corner. My FET chances were lower and I just didn't think it would work. Ohhhh boy, was I wrong !!!!!!! So, there is no point to waste your energy into driving yourself crazy. Baby dust to ya

thanks for the support that means the world to me right now............and yes i finally got my painfull period,so i will go tomorrow for the blood test,i don't know what to expect but i will be positive so whatever
i hope there are still miricles .......................
