Ghost...beta levels.

Ghost...I am 5 weeks 5 days pregnant. Beta number last Monday 524. Beta number today 515. I know what this means. Just wondering what the odds of there being a lab error or something else. Any chance of a miracle here? Doc wants me to go for another beta tomorrow ...just in case. Give it to me straight. Thanks.

In many years, I've seen one lab error like that. Not a lot to pin your hopes on. I'm sorry.

I wish you all the best Good luck tomorrow with your blood test results. I had a chemical after my FET and it can be devastating. I also had wished someone made a mistake but they didn't. It felt like a cruel joke. I'll say a prayer for you, hugs

Thank you both. Beta was down to 453 today. I also had an ultrasound. They couldnt find anything. I stopped all medications. Just waiting to start bleeding now. We leave Sunday, flying to Myrtle Beach...doc said we could still go...but to scope out where the nearest hospital is...cause they havent yet ruled out an ectopic. I have another beta this Friday...to watch the numbers drop. This was our last chance...our only 3 frozen embyros. I'm hoping to maybe talk DH into a fresh cycle, but my embryos will be at 42 yrs old instead of 39...so it is not good at all.

Your first level is on the high side. It is possible you were pregnant with twins and then there was a slight drop because of the loss of one. I wish you the best of luck.

I wish that were the case Amanda...but even with 1 baby...my numbers should have been in the 6000's at this point ...not 453. There is nothing there via ultrasound.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My chemical was @ 5 weeks also. My first beta was 88 then second beta was 49. I have had 2 ectopic pregnancies as well before my DD. Take time for yourself now, and maybe talk about it later. I'm going to try again in June, with a fresh cycle I had also used my last embies. I did have insurance for my last 2 cycles which neither worked out. This time we will pay for a good amount and I pray this works !!!! I had quit my job to do IVF and enjoy my DD of course. Mentally and physically I can't keep doing this, need to move on in my life. I just want my DD to have a playmate sooo bad Again so sorry for your loss.

If it makes you feel any better, it's not just you. Almost 1/3 of pregnancies are lost, most early on, and often unnoticed.

I hope you will not blame yourself.
