Ghost-Abdominal Ultrasound?

I found a place in my area that does abdominal ultrasounds. I know that transvaginal u/s are more accurate especially in early pregnancy, but could you still see something on an abdominal u/s at say 6 weeks pregnant?

I don't know, but I think that is pushing it.

Anyone here had an abdominal ultrasound at 6 weeks? My clinic uses only TVUs at that point.

I remember my OB saying that abdominals are not very good for early pregnancies and TV us is way more accurate...

I had a transvaginal us done around six weeks. It showed my DD heart beating it looks like a blinking light on ultrasound. I was high risk for ectopic so I was followed early on. I still have her us picture they gave me

I had a 'dating' u/s done at 8 weeks (the OB didn't want to 'rely' on the dates from the IVF clinic and wanted a 1st trimester u/s to 'date' the pregnancy... due date was estimated the exact same day as it was based on my IVF dates, but whatever).

They started with a trans-vaginal and could see baby A. They switched to abdominal since baby B was so very high up. The tech told me she had never seen something on a abdominal at 8 weeks and that baby B had attached to the very top of my uterus.

Only because there were 2 AND because baby B was so high could we see something on an abdominal at 8 weeks.

aren't you used to the 'dildo cam' by this point ?

Kamaile- This response is a little late, but I did try to look with the abdominal U/S when I was 6 weeks, and could see absolutely nothing!
