Reproductive Science Center of the Bay Area. I went to the San Ramon clinic with Dr. Weckstein last summer and got a BFP on our first try.

i went to PFC in San Francisco and got pregnant in my first try. I am 26 weeks pregnant with twins now. I like PFC but I heard some complaints from other people. My RE is DR Schriock, he is good! And Dr Ryan was doing my ET and transfer, she has a very good bedside mannar.

Good Luck!

myc - Congrats! Did you work with Dr. Chenette at all? I read some mixed reviews from them. Do you mind telling memore about your experience there and how much it cost? Were there a lot of hidden costs? Did you feel like they knew your story and who you were or did you always have to remind them of your situation?

dogzrule - love the name! I have the same questions for you, Do you mind telling memore about your experience there and how much it cost? Were there a lot of hidden costs? Did you feel like they knew your story and who you were or did you always have to remind them of your situation? My OB suggested Dr. Weckstein.

Those are two places I am closely looking at, I read mixed reviews for both online and I am glad I found you girls so I can get more details on costs and your general impression. I got pregnant on my 1st try with current RE but on 2nd IVF got an ectopic and his manners did not impress me. I am looking for a Dr who is going to taylor the treatment to me and not expect me to respond to the same protocol he gives everyone else.

Thanks! It really means a ton to me to get your opinions!

My experience there was great, but of course it was because it worked lol. No seriously, my nurse case manager was great, and I LOVED Dr. Weckstein. He was so compassionate and encouraging, and they really know what they are doing there. Even the ladies that work the desk are super nice! I never felt like I was a number to them, ever. As for the cost, including meds, I believe it was about $18,000, but I'm not exactly sure because my husband's insurance paid 100% of everything. I'm still amazed at that fact.

I know what you mean by the mixed review from PFC. I was worried about that at the very beginning. But after talking to Dr Schriock, mu husband and I felt very comfortable with him, so we decided to go for it.

I paid around $17K for the IVF program. You have to below certain FSH # and under 38 or 39 year old. It includes 2 IVFs and FETs. If the 1st fresh cycle does not work, you can do all the FET, if it still does not work, you can do the fresh cycle, then FETs. But it has to be done within a year.

I think the cost is very clear and up front. All the U/S during simulation is included, but afterward, you have to pay for your own. Mine were covered by my HMO.

I did not deal with De Chenette. I saw Dr Schriock, Dr Ryan and Dr Givens, I had very good experience with all of them. I really did not have any issue with anyone of them. Dr Schriock helped me to remove a small polyp before my IVF cycle, he explained everything details to my husband and me very well, very patience. I really like him. If you are going to PFC, I strongly suggest you meet with him.

let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck!

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences! Did you girls ever look at Kaiser or what made you pick your clinic? I see Kaiser has amazing success rates.

Thanks again, every bit of info helps!

Kaiser was never in the thought process for us because we are not insured by them. I picked RSC because one of my colleagues had a successful IVF cycle with them, and she was the one I went to for information when DH and I decided we were going to give this a shot.
