Hi Helen,
How are you? Just wondered how your holiday was?
I have finally stopped being sick (hurrah!!) The iron tablets were making me worse and by last friday I felt like I was never going to feel normal again! But here I am now feeling chipper again- although can't sleep at the mo- must be the hot weather.
had my 24 week check yesterday with the gp..all is well and have another scan at the hospital this afternoon to see if my placenta has risen up yet.(at least I get to see baby Joshua/Miles/Bailey on the screen again!)
Well hope you and twinies are ok and that your last week ON YOUR OWN went well. ( how exciting and scary is that?!)
Take care of all of you!
Love Kirsty
xx

Hiya

gosh, you were up early this morning!!

Glad to hear you've finally stopped chucking up! It's not nice, is it. Did I read on another thread that you've been taking liquid iron stuff? Glad it's helping - the thought of being ill for the foreseeable future - yuck! You lucky thing, having another scan this afternoon! Give your little boy a wave for me and let me know how you get on!!!!!

We had a lovely time in Jersey, be it very hot! We normally like to crash out on the beech for hours at a time but we weren't able to do that this time - too hot and too uncomfortable! We did loads of sightseeing though and spent a fair amount of time driving round the island in the car (which had air conditioning - bliss!). Really nice place, I'd recommend it! When we did pop down to the beech one afternoon we saw lots of families building sandcastles and stuff and said that'll be us next time!! Scary.

I had my 22 week check up with the doctor on Monday. Both blood pressure and wee looking good which is always a relief. I'm obvioiusly going to develop full blown diabetes and blood pressure so the longer I can hold it off the better!! :) Why do we always expect the worst?? Had a listen in to the boys' heartbeats and all sounded good there too. Like you, am feeling very chipper!! We've got 4 more weeks to wait and we get another scan too - how exciting!

Let us know how you get on this afternoon!

LOL Helen xx

PS - -for the first time in days I can just about see my ankle bones today. My feet and ankles swelled up to twice their size during this heat - not a pretty sight and very uncomfortable. Have you suffered with elephant feet too??

[Edited by Helen G on 17-Jul-03 11:08]

Hi Helen,
All went well today. My placenta is still low but not low enough to be a major concern and hopefully I will be able to have a normal delivery!! Am soooooo pleased!!!. My consultant is really nice and says baby is doing well and he nows weighs 815g. The baby kept getting in the way and the consultant had to keep trying to nudge him..was very funny..he is breech at the mo but still has loads of time to move around. I have to go back again in four weeks.
I have had swollen feet too and today for some reason I have started getting the acid indigestion that others have been experiencing!! But am so happy still. We have almost finished the nursery, have just got to get the new carpet fitted and pick up the furniture ....I am just so damm impatient..are you??
Your holiday sounded excellent ..we are hoping to get a long weekend in before long. Did you fly? If so did you feel strange?
Well we must catch up again soon,
keep me updated with your news,
Lots of love to all four of you,
Kirsty
xx
Hi Kirsty

Great to hear that your little man is doing - 815g already!! How do they calculate his weight then?? Let's hope the placenta stays out of the way so you can go for lots of pain!!?? :) (with a few drugs of course!) and that he turns round in good time.

dh and I got the ferry to Jersey so can't help on the flying bit. I know a few of the girls have been on holidays abroad - maybe you could check with them if you're worried!

Agree we should catch up soon. Let me know when you're around!

have a great weekend. We're off to my Mum and Dad's in Somerset.

Helen xx
