Post by MarsLeon »

Hello,

I am hoping I get s much help and support as possible. I just started the IVF route anad began injection Leuprolide (5units). I am scared because I have never done this. This is a male issue that brought us to do this. What can I expect because I am still to receive 6 more meds, In august I will get my stimulation on 8/5. Get my eg retrieval on 8/16 and Embryo transfer on the 21st. Please help.. What can I expect?

You will find a lot of support here. The first time can be scary. I also traveled down the ivf path b/c of male factor. You will get through it. Physical expectations really vary from person to person, but one thing that seems to be consistent is the emotional roller coaster ride you are about to take. Just know that all of the women here are in your shoes, or have been at some time, and they completely understand what you are going through. And don't be afraid to ask questions. Good luck with everything!

You will probably experience more emotions in a short span of time than you ever have in your life. Some day you might wake up thinking you're going to scream if you have to give yourself another shot... get more blood drawn... have another ultrasound. Focus on your goal, and you will undoubtedly amaze yourself with your own strength and ability to do things you never thought you could. Please don't forget to provide mutual support for you husband. We also have male factor, and my husband suffered a tremendous amount of guilt knowing that because of him I was going through so much. Wishing you the best of luck!
