OHHS UGH!

So the doc thinks I am at high rish of this. I am 4 days post retreieval and I am in so uncomfortable! Doc just advised me to take off work and drink lots of gatorade. My transfer is Sat and am hoping I will feel much better by then. Anyone else have this? It's awful

I actually had a horrible case of it...please take it seriously and report any and all symptoms to your doctor. Is freezing and postponing transfer and option for you?

Because, if you do have OHHS and get pregnant it will only get worse....

Drink your Gatorade!!!!!! And rest...

I really don't wamt to postpone transfer and freeze my embryos although if it gets worse then that might be the only option. I took the rest of the week off and have been drinking tons of gatorade. Not fun at all

Krissy - I ended up with OHSS the day after retrieval (and ended up in hospital, including ICU, for 6 days), so I can understand your pain. Be sure to be completely upfront with your doc about what's going on. If it's not too severe, I'm sure they'll still do the transfer. I know my clinic was still happy to do it despite the fact when they rang to schedule the time, I was in ICU and not doing interested in doing it AT ALL. The prospect of the OHSS symptoms getting worse after transfer was more than enough to make me freeze my embies but that was my choice - I had to tell the clinic to do it.
