Beta question ghost or anyone

My friend implanted two embryos on day 3 post retrieval. She had her first beta of 163 12 days past transfer. Two days later she more than doubled with a beta of 475. What are the chances of twins with those numbers? Also if two embryos are implanted and you only end up with a singleton what happens to the one that didn't implant? Do you essentially miscarry it and have bleeding?

I don't know the probabilities, but that could be a twin or a single. No way to tell until the ultrasound.

An embryos that does not implant would go unnoticed. No bleeding.

Hi Kim -

its really hard to just go by HCG levels since they vary so much, the only true way is through your u/s
but if you want to take a peek - go to http://betabase.info and it will give you an idea, I took a peek for you and you fall right between the medians for a singleton or a twin - dont get too crazy over the numbers you really wont know for sure until you get that u/s - Congrats and good luck!
Oh and to figure your DPO (days past ovulation) you add how many day embie you transfered with how many days past transfer - xoxo

My beta at 10dpt was 223 and 426 at 12dpt and i have a singleton...
