What does by beta mean? anyone?
So, this is our first time with ivf. I am trying to learn as we go and not get too ahead of myself on what to expect. I had my first beta today. I am 12dp3dt and my beta number was 409. Is that good?

yes it is good! your beta number should also be doubling every 2 days. Good luck

yes that's quite high! congrats..i've heard that anything over 100 is strongly correlated with a viable pregnancy

Congratulations! It shows how much of the pregnancy hormone (HCG) is in your blood...that is an awesome level!

Thanks for everyone's positive words! This has been so new and overwhelming for us! I didn't want to do too much reading/research ahead of time, so I wouldn't obsess over everything!

How many did you transfer? good chance of more then one stuck. Good Luck!!

We transferred 2...so praying that at least one of those little guys sticks!! Have my second beta in the morning! This is the most nervous i have ever been in my whole life!

Just got by beta number back from this morning and it was 911! I think that's good since it doubled? I don't go back until Nov. 16...another torturous 3ww!! Thanks for everyone's support!

Thank you!! I definitely think I will be able to rest a little easier! Yes, my ultrasound is on the 16th. If that looks normal, is that usually when they release you to an OBGYN?
