Spotting on 2ww on day 9

Hi Im new to this message board, I wonder if anyone can help me bring some light.
Im currently on the dreaded 2ww (god its nasty) I am on day 9 after ET, everything seems to of been going well until lunchtime today untill I started spotting with light brown & pink discharge. I did a clear blue digital HPT this afternoon which resulted in a BFN!! I test at the clinic on Wed early morning!! Has anyone else experienced this during the 2ww and still got a BFP.
I feel so gutted thats its over and can't stop crying.

This 2ww is so completely miserable, I know!! I am knee deep in it as well. I have heard LOTS of women tell me they get spotting and even bleeding during the 2ww and get BFP. I really don't think that it is a bad sign, even though it seems counter-intuitive. Also, I have been on this board for about 4 months and also hear of women getting BFN up to the day before their beta and still getting a positive.

It is possible. If I weren't feeling it myself I would be a much better cheerleader. Please try to stay positive and visualize your baby...

I know this process has so much heartache in it...wishing the best for you!!! Please let me know tomorrow...I am sending all the baby dust to you!!!! Crossing my fingers and toes that you get a BFP tomorrow!!

Hey there!! Good news...a women on the November thread under IVF just posted that she got a BFP...and she was all sad and weepy yesterday because she was spotting! I am holding strong hope for you!!

I just saw your thread with responses on the other board...I am so sorry....I feel like a ninny. I had not idea you had that other thread going. Again, I am sorry. ((((HUGS)))))

What are your plans? Will you try again? I know it is hard to think of next steps while in the midst of grieving.

Hi Ladies

I went to the clinic this morning and they confirmed my BFN!!!! Life is so cruel at times isn't it!! Myself & DH feel so down about it as we were so positive this time, we thought we were home and dry. I have to admit I find it so hard to stay positive onthe 2ww. so any of you other ladies feel the same or are most of you positive.
Im going to take some time out and consider what were going to try next.
The clinic recommended assisted hatching. Anyone else had BFP by using this method.
Were gong to book a long overdue holiday to Florida.

margi26 - don't feel a ninny, you were not to know about the other thread. Im still kinda getting used to this chat forum as I only joined on Sunday when I was spotting. We will definatly try again im not sure when though, maybe after the holidays. Were in the process of considering other options. Where are you with your treatment at the moment? sorry if you have already metioned it on another thread, so many to read.

Hi Grumpsuk, I had a similar situation to you. Spotting on day 7 which turned into a full period. I was devastated as i too had convinced myself that it had worked. I am now into cycle #2 and feeling less excited this time round. I think i had false hope and expectation on the first round however i feel a bit more level headed this time. I think the key is to try and keep life as normal as possible which can be very hard when your life is controlled by injections. IVF is only a PART of my life and not my WHOLE life and i keep reminding myself of that. Anyway stay positive and enjoy your holiday.

Grumpsuk: Take all the time you need. This process is so confusing at times. I am now bummed with my BFN yesterday. I really had high hopes for this cycle with IUI despite the "odds" given my age. I had 3 great follies larger than 18mm and 4 greater than 15 at trigger. Sperm count was great--I did an HSG earlier in the cycle which folks say can clear out your tube. Even though I only have one tube thanks to ruptured ectopic (from IVF!) I was really feeling good. Ah well. So hard. No way to really ever understand why some cycles work and others don't. Keep up your PMA. Take time to heal and get a new strategy. Take care of YOU.
