tell me about FET

I've heard/read talk of natural FET. If you don't do natural FET, what is the protocol like for a "regular" FET.

I know my RE will go over all of this w/ me on the 24th but I'd like to talk about it NOW. LOL LOL

Hey Nancy, I can tell you about the FET we just went through -

The day after my period started, I started putting Estrogen patches on my back, switching them every other night. I believe they are used to stop your ovaries from making any eggs, but I'm not 100% certain of that... then, a short time before your scheduled transfer, you start with the progesterone. You show up for the transfer just as you did for your fresh cycle, they out them in, and I continued with the estrogen and progesterone through the 2ww, and even after receiving a + beta.

All in all, there were way less dr visits, maybe 4-5 in total, mostly blooodwork, a couple of sonos, and that's it! Much more manageable than fresh cycles.
