Some of you may know me and others may not! I have a few GREAT suggestions from girls Ive cycled with but I figured I'd put it out there and ask if anyone has come across anything to helps improve male factor?
My DH has severe male factor. He is currently seeking a 2nd opinion at a uroligist and taking a vitamin but is there anything else he can take? or do?

Do they know why his counts are low? My DH had bilateral varicoceles and ended up needed surgery. Then his numbers went down after the surgery for some unknown reason, but at this point we were left with IVF anyway so as long as he had a few thats all we needed since we could do ICSI. He was also on some kind of supplement that the Urologist recommended that was pretty expensive. He was just told a healthier diet, no alcohol/smoking, and no baths/hot-tubs. Urologist told him that boxer briefs were still ok to wear though. Good luck to you all.
Blair-Hey, My DH was diagnosed with the varicocele as well. He actually is going for another opinion bc the urologist that saw him told him it may or may not get better with surgery and also told him his semen analysis wouldnt get any worse without it. Since that over a year ago my DH count has dropped drastically and is worse. So we dont know whats going on and bc of the varicocele it cause them to come out abnormally...as you prolly know so ICSI does not always work for us!
They recommended thesame..no hot ubs..things like that but never gave him any vitamins or anything.

Yea even though the Urologist wasn't positive that the bilateral surgery would work he said the varicoceles could affect his testosterone levels if it got too bad. We opted for the surgery just to make sure it wasnt still a factor. My husband just had low counts so the abnormalities werent as big of an issue. We did ICSI and it worked great. ANyway...best of luck with everything!!
My DH has severe male factor as well. He has a very high number of Anti-sperm Antibodies (over 75%). IVF/ICSI is our only option. I have read some material on using acupunture and chinese herbs to help- anyone have any input on that?
