Post by chrissys »

Hi i'm chrissy and i had a postive last wednesday. I wondered if you lovely ladies could give me a bit of help. I am getting niggly type pains on both sides near my ovaries and i'm starting to get worried about it. As anyone had these types of pains in the early stages or should I call the hospital? would reaaly appreciate some advice.

Luv
Chrissy
x

Hi Chrissy

Just to let you know I got a positive and I was getting AF pains but the clinic said to me it was normal to get this. Occasionally I do feel like I have AF pains now and I am now 22 weeks if you are a little concerned there is no harm in phoning your clinic and having some reassurance.
Let us know but I am sure you will be fine.
Love
Shell.
xx

Hi Chrissy

congratulations on your positive, you must be over the moon! Just to warn you, the worry and paranoia gets worse now - makes the 2ww feel like a walk in the park!! :-) Seriously, don't worry about any aches and pains, everything seems to be normal for pregnancy. Your ovaries have got a bit of calming down to do after all the stimming they've been through. I've also read that your uterus starts growing immediately and you can get niggly pains from that too! Try and relax and take it easy for a few weeks and don't panic!!

As Shell says, keep us posted!

helen xx

Hi Chrissy,
Many congratulations!!!
As helen has said the worry never seems to stop. I am sure all is ok, if you get pains and bledding then I would call your clinic just in case. I have had niggly pains every now and then and everything is ok (am now 33 weeks pg).
Best of luck and try to enjoy your long awaited nine months!
lots of love
Kirsty
x

Hi there - just to add to the other girls' advice with a bit of reassurance - yes, AF type pain is totally normal, your uterus has already started growing and as it grows and ligaments stretch you'll feel AF type pains. But if they get worse, if you get any spotting, or if you're worried, call your clinic.

I had terrible AF pains about twice a day for 5 - 10 minutes for the first 10 weeks - am now almost 21 weeks and it still happens now and then!

Just relax!

lots of love Sally xx
