Endo what? I can barely even spell it, yet my doctor thinks I may have symptoms of it. DH called him today to try to schedule a conference call where we can get more details...But my best friend today told me I should go ahead with the laproscopic surgery where they can determine if I really do have this and reverse it. She thinks even if IVF DOES work, there would be a high risk in having a miscarriage. I told her if anything it's a mild case, and probably wouldn't have anything to worry about. But I would like to hear from you on this, please!

Could of been a great topic if the last idiot didn't get off the subject. (sorry I'm cranky when I'm sick with a cold.)
Endometriosis, I'm wondering how many out there have had the surgery done do see if this might explain infertility?

I do not have endo, but I have heard of many women that did and went on to have healthy babies! Good luck to you!
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!
Thanks for you reply Brit1612. Not sure, but my RE is telling me I have symptoms of a mild case of endometrosis. Never tested before, but feel I need to rule everything out, giving us peace of mind. HSG came back good, no blocked tubes but told me nothing else. DH wanted to be more aggressive and jump into another cycle of IVF treatment, but part of me feels maybe something else might be wrong, explaining our last miscarriage? Doctor did mention that we could test the quality of embryos, might be something we look into down the road. For now, my insurance covers most of everything for the surgery. Plus, if this is the ticket...explaining our infertility- maybe this will help makes us fertile, after healing from the surgery of course!
I would love to hear everyone else's thoughts and experience with endometriosis.

I had my laprascopy done about 10 months ago because my doctor thought I might have a mild case and until they go in and see they really cannot be sure. I ended up having stage III endo and he said he was truly surprised because of my lack of symptoms. It was painful for about 2 days after managed easily with pain pills and then just uncomfortable for another 2-3 days which is good in my book for having three incisions in my belly. Yours may really be a mild case but it is so hard to know untill they go in there. We are currently on our 1st IVF cycle we had to wait for DH to be able to give sample (in military overseas) DH has very low sperm count and morphology. Praying all goes well with you, if it was me I would do the surgery just to make sure it is a mild case and just to get any out that may be there to ease your mind about why this or that happens or doesn't happen.

Well, I'm a bit late in joining but hopefully this help you: I was diagnosed with moderate to severe Endometriosis. I had the Laparoscopy. I now have two beautiful children, via IVF. I am going for my third this year. Anything is possible. Don't give up, ever!
Thanks ladies for responding... I know several ladies out there who suffer with severe endometrious yet go through IVF and bring home a healthy baby. Truthfully, I was hoping the doctor would find something wrong to give us a diagnosis. Isn't it funny how our minds work sometime...
