so after TTC since 2004, 3 IVFs and 1 FET... wtf- i just got pregnant withOUT treatment. i'm in total shock.
my period was late- took an HPT just so i could stop thinking about it- y'know, just get the negative result and stop obsessing... done this a THOUSAND times before.. i've NEVER EVER been naturally pregnant. in my whole life. so it's a BFP... i don't believe it, so i go for bloodwork....
well- my beta is 3100... ya- that's right : 3100
i'm starting to get over the disbelief and get excited.. of course, i'm a typical IVFer.. i don't count on anything.. but i get a repeat blood test tomorrow, and if all's well- u/s in about 2 weeks..
could i be so blessed??
i used to get really annoyed and angry when people would say 'just keep trying aside of treatment, maybe it'll happen'- quite frankly i wanted to tell them to piss up a rope. and now it's me.. i'll be very happy to 'eat my words'.
and yes- i'm the person who was recommended to go to donor eggs back in 2008.
this is so crazy, i hardly know how to handle it. i feel like i just got my foot into the door of a 'club' that i'd been banned from. lol. if you have it in you- say a lttle prayer for my bean... there's one heck of a loving home hoping for his or her arrival later.

After my 3 IVFs (last one endind due to PTL) I was working on starting a FET with my frozen embryos. Unfortunately, during an MRI scan they found a 9mm pituitary tumor. Not a bad thing since they found out the reason why I had high prolactin levels. I had to be on medication to suppress the hormone production. Went to see my RE to see if she can speed up FET up a month because DH was getting an offer to move back to NY. RE agreed all was well and was going to talk to endocrinologist to give me the "ok." I had been on bromocriptine for almost 3 weeks when I went to see RE but the next day my coworker said she had a dream that I was pregnant. Actually both my coworkers were saying the same thing. Next thing you know I took a HPT from work and took it home with me. After having an early dinner with DH, we went home and I needed to urinate. Took advantage, POAS and to my surprise there was that second line. I was in disbelief after everything we went thru and many yrs of TTC. Many thought it wasn't a viable pregnancy including RE. How can I get pregnant if both my fallopian tubes are blocked? Fortunately, 9 months later after 11 hrs of labor and 20 minutes of pushing I gave birth to a 8lb 15oz baby boy.
Enjoy your pregnancy and remember that as crazy as it sounds this urban "myth" is possible as much as we hate hearing about it when we are trying so hard to get pregnant. Once again congrats!!!!!!!!

Karen, God does answers prayers in mysterious ways! I'm so excited for you guys! We had a simular story happen to us last year. I took a break from Clomid treatment and tried a natural regimen with Robitussin and changed prenatal vitamins. Six weeks later I'm still so determined, we begin talking about adoption.I knew someone who was expecting a baby in July and I was very interested in pressing forward, but dh saw too many "red flags" and talked me out of it. Really told me he felt we weren't ready for adoption yet. Two days later that same week in March, I was feeling some cramping and had light pink spotting, just thinking AF was on her way. So discouraged, I begin praying and went to sleep that night. The morning after dh's birthday, I thought what's going on, I'm never late and my cycles are always 28 day apart. So we tested and it came back pregnant! I couldn't believe it either and went to the lab for confirmation. Crazy story, the lab tech and his wife we're trying to get pregnant too, and we got into a deep conversation. I told him no matter what you have to keep on praying, God will take control and lead you in the right direction. As I was leaving, he told me since it was the weekend and the doctor's office would be closed, that I could personally call him to get my lab results. When I got home of course, Dh didn't like that one bit, said we should wait until Monday, that the lab tech guy would of only given us false hope. All weekend long I was on pins and needles waiting on Monday, really thinking what, no this cannot be happening. We're been married over 10 years, and never have we ever had this happen! Monday afternoon I got a phone call that we were pregnant and I knew it was God's miracle.
But from everything that happened to us, (not sure if I want to reveal this) but I learned that God will never give us anything we personally cannot handle and maybe that explained why dh and I miscarried so early on. I wish we had more answers, but nothing in life is guaranteed, all we can do is stay determined and pray,pray,pray- as I will be doing for you on this board!
