Ghost-I was wondering...

Post by crissylove »

I'm in my 2ww and after reading Tammy's thread about her E2 issues it made me stop to think about the fact that my RE isn't supplementing me with any estrogen what so ever. Is that a cause for concern?

I had exactly same freak out. My clinic is only giving prog not E2. Does your clinic measure E2 and prog mid way through 2ww? Mine did today and both were fine. My E2 was still very high after stimms. If your clinic doesnt measure - ask to come in and get it done - so you dont have any doubts. BTW - i just remembered you asked me a question on the march board regarding my prog. I am on 1cc of PIO shots and 2 suppositories. It's a bit of an overkill to do both, i think. In my succesfull FET is was just on suppositories and it worked fine - but they couldnt measure prog in the blood because it was only local to uterus. this time they are doing both so they can measure it. what prog are you on?

I am a little confused. I thought all clinics supplemented estrogen in some way during a cycle. However, are you all talking strictly about fresh cycles that were not supplemented? They would supplement an FET?

LYD10-My clinic has only requested that I come in for my beta on Thurs. I'm not sure what I'd be able to assess given the details cuz IDK what I'm looking for. I just remember with my lst clinic they gave me E2 patches and this RE gives nada. If it's successful I won't question his methods. As for your second ques I'm doing 1cc of shots alone.

Mamaboo we're doing fresh cycles.

Some clinics don't supplement it, and at least two studies have failed to find a relationship between supplements and outcome of fresh non-donor IVF cycles. Recent publications have challenged the need for progesterone supplements, too.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Fresh non-donor cycles will usually have many follicles making progesterone and estradiol. FET and donor cycles usually do not, although there are "natural cycle" FET cycles where there is one follicle to produce these hormones.
