No symptoms during 2WW, success stories?

Post by Waitingkay »

Hello ladies,

Just need some reassurance..I know in my head this is normal but please share with me success stories after not experiencing any symptoms during the 2WW. Or just share your thoughts.
I'm 6dp3dt. IVF#1 both fresh and and FET ended in chemicals although all embies were grade A. This IVF#2, we did IMSI, then ICSI and transferred 3. Was very bloated after ER and also at the beginning after ET due to the progesterone suppositories, but 6 days to go before beta testing, I just feel fine. More than fine. I know this is all in my head. It's so hard to convince myself things can still turn out fine after our two previous chemical pregnancies with beta hell, and RE explaining that though embies look fine there may still be some chromosomal issues in the sperms that won't let them develop behind the chemical level...

Thanx and blessings to all,
K

Kay - I never have any symptoms in my 2ww and I've had BFNs and BFPs! I just got a BFP from this cycle, and still have not symptoms. It makes it hard to believe I'm pregnant! The hCG is what gives you most of the symptoms, and it doesn't really build up until 5-6 weeks pregnant and I'm only 4.

Good luck! keep us posted! If you want, come join our "winter cycle" thread. Lots of lovely ladies there!

Hi ngeor!

Did you do a 3day transfer or 5? I'm now 9dp3dt. A bit stomach problems (when I'm nice to myself I call this a symptom :? ). When's your beta day? Are you gonna use HPT? I never got a + on an HPT, my last 2 chemicals I guess the beta was simply to low to show. This time around I think I will only use it if I get a good beta number on the blood work, will be nice to see the two lines for a change without the torture of seeing absolutely nothing after going through so much :(
All the best and hang on,
Kay

HI Kay
I think it's hard to tell whether symptoms matter. Our second IVF cycle resulted in my son, and I felt symptoms during the 2ww (was tired, had aching boobs, felt aching ovaries) but I think it was all the progesterone vaginally. My body had never experienced anything like it. But this latest IVF to try for DC no. 2, I had NO symptoms. I told my husband not to get excited before the first beta, because I felt NOTHING. But I'm pregnant all the same. My theory is I'm used to being tired all the time now, so early pregnancy tiredness doesn't register anymore :)
And well, my body has seen its fair share of progesterone after one pregnancy, so it's not feeling those vaginal capsules in the same way. Just a theory.

I made it thr 2 ww by distracting myself. Movies after work, fun movies, nothing dark, and I got a massage once too. Ahhh.

I had absolutely ZERO symptoms during my 2WW. On the day of my blood test, I had some mild period cramping. I thought for sure that the result would be negative and even signed up for the next IVF cycle while I was at the clinic. As you can see from my sig, I have a baby on board.

Hi ladies. I just wanted to send some positive vibes your way. I did not have any symptoms early in either of my pregnancys. I also did not throw up one time in either pregnancy which surprised me with this one being twins. Around 9ish weeks I was naucseas in the evening but that passed at the end of the first trimester. Try not to stress to much about the 2WW if you feel anything at that point it is most likely the progesterone. Good Luck and I hope to read about your great betas soon.

There are usually no signs of pregnancy in the 2WW. The exception is worsening OHSS in a few patients. Other than that, the breast tenderness etc. are side effects of progesterone. "Implantation cramps" have never been scientifically proved, and women have had pregnancy or failure regardless of reporting "implantation cramps". They may be just another progesterone effect.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Fantastic answers everyone! Thank you so much!

I do KNOW in my head it's not really supposed to feel anything, I just wonder how to survive this and still believe this can happen to me. When we were just TTC naturally for a few months, I bought a pregnancy book. I read all that I found exciting first then and didn't dwell to much on the first and second chapters mentioning how to get pregnant and how you know when you are. This book has now been hidden on a shelf for very long, I feel like there's such a boundary between the first stages and the rest of the book. "The forbidden world". I want to finally graduate to the next stage. It's such a difference compared to conceiving naturally. I wander how you people that have had many unsuccessful trials finally responded when you realized the bun was in the oven to stick around...I can't even imagine the feeling so I keep imagining only how DH will respond. And that makes me happy. After I had my FET I continued to work out but this time evn though I know it would really make a difference, I am not at all as active as indeed advisable in order to be positive and not google on symptoms or lack of...

I had symptoms, all of which I beleive were drug induced! On my negative cycles I had the same "symptoms" as in my positive cycles. Also, we went through three miscarriages before finally being able to carry to term, so don't let the chemicals convince you that you that you can't carry a baby. Good luck to you!
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!
