Hi Girls,

I am so sorry I have not posted earlier I have had one of those days ok my appointment was at 09:55 and I was eventually seen at 11:20. They advise me that the baby is going to be a big baby and that I am measuring on the high mark on the charts. I am actually falling out of the measurements for how far I have gone but they say that they are not concerned. They did ask about diabetics in the family but I advised that no-one in our family as it. They are going to scan me again in 4 weeks to see how much the baby as grown, if the baby as grown alot more they may think of doing a C Section. They advise me that the baby weighs 3lb and that he/she is no longer breech and is head down so there we go.

Sorry if I have made you all worry I didn't mean to.

Oh by the way my boobs are getting so sore now this is normal again?

Love
Shell.
29wks 1d pg
xx

Hurrah!
Hi Shell, am so glad that everything is fine, you must be so relieved. We all worry because we care, and if my midwife had terrified me (I know she was only being cautious) I'd have been on the board in record time.

Apart from being bigger - do you feel OK or are you still finding it difficult to sleep etc?
love Sally xxx

Hi Shell - 3lbs!! thats really good - seems like a proper little baby when you hear a good weight like that! Glad to hear everything's OK. I wouldnt mind a c-section at all - at least the baby is out quick and you know he/she won't have the trauma of a long delivery, etc. You'll get another scan too - that will be lovely to see the baby again!!

Lots of Love - Jo. HI Shell,

Haven't been on for a while, but was thinking about you last Friday. Glad everything is okay - some midwives seem to put the fear of God in you and others seem to be okay!

I guess that we're on the home stretch now and we could pop at any minute. The midwife I saw last Friday said mine was big aswell, but wasn't overly worried. She said that it may come early and said that some IVF babies arrive early (is this true? Has anyone else heard this?).

Anyway, will catch up again soon,

Alison xx

Hi Alison

Thanks for the post I was wondering how you are doing, your right what your saying I guess the baby can come anytime now it is lovely but also scary at the same time. My midwife said if I hadn't of gone through IVF I would of had my dates changed by now because I measuring 2 weeks in front. I have also heard that with IVF the baby can come early and some do tend to come early. One of there girls off the other site I go on had her twins at 33 weeks and then one of the girls had her little boy at 36wks so you can never tell.

Hope everyone else is ok.

Love
Shell.
30wks pg
xx

Shell

Glad to hear all is OK, big is better than small I suppose - but you must be getting uncomfortable now?!

Your boobs are probably sore as the milk is starting to come in isn't it?

Have you packed your bag in preparation?

Take care of yourselves!

D x
(20 weeks, 2)
Hi Dawn

To be honest I am getting a little uncomfortable, also I have another 4 weeks at work and I am just feeling so tired its untrue so god knows how I am going to make the next 4 weeks (probably struggle) I do one week 08:00 - 16:30 and then the next I do 10:00 - 18:00 I may have to do the later shift because then I can stay in bed a extra couple of hours but just hate getting home at 18:30 approx.

My boobs are going hard to be honest and are so big, but to be honest they haven't started leaking.

I have not even packed my bag yet but I am going to Mothercare the weekend and will get the things I need. What do I need exactly?

I know I need nappies, breast pads, sanitary towels, clothes and stuff like that, and some bits and pieces for baby.

How are you doing? have you had your 20wks scan yet.

Love
Shell.
30wks pg
xx
