Ghost or Anyone Questions???

Post by katieb1231 »

So I had my WTF appt today & needless to say the RE didn't have many options or suggestions says he is stumped...I have had all kinds of tests & no findings that suggest anything.....so a few questions....This is for a FET cycle I have had two MC one via fresh donor cycle, one via FET donor cycle, 2 natural MC, 2 MC via IUI.....

1.) Is there a difference between doing lupron or BCP (my RE does not seem to think there is) so I am wondering if there is any benefit of doing one or the other

2.) Is there one type of progesterone better than the other? I have been doing Crinone but now he wants me to do progesterone in ethyl alcohol (I think that is right??)(I have nut allergies so can't do a PIO) with the Crinone I think two doses a day of Crinone & one shot of progesterone in ethyl alcohol. Does this sound like a lot?? Before I was only doing Crinone twice a day.

3.) I have been tested for clotting disorders but only the usual ones.....he didn't say I should or shouldn't do further testing for clotting said it was up to me said with my family history it was unlikely that I had any of these more extensive disorders.....does this sound right should I do any other testing.

4.) I am also on Bromocriptine/Parladol that is for elevated prolactin have been taking for 11 years....very minimal elevation at the most in the 40's and the least high 20's....I take one 2.5 miligram a day. With my first donor cycle I stopped taking it the day after transfer (got pregnant but MC at 6 weeks) second time continued taking it and MC at 4 weeks and a few days) any suggestions on the Bromocriptine/Parladol? Should I continue taking it? Discontinue taking it? I really think this is the key to this whole mystery.....

Thanks Ghost & ladies for any advice......I am very frustrated & losing my PMA very quickly....

We tend to prefer Lupron, but I'm not sure there's much difference from BCP,

The progesterones are all about equally effective, except for the pills (weak). It's ethyl oleate, not ethyl alcohol. Two Crinone plus 50 injected should be plenty in most patients. The two Crinone should be enough, and the injections just make certain. The injection gives the doctor a blood level to monitor so he can make sure you have enough. The Crinone acts directly on the uterus, and not much gets into the blood, so measuring the blood progesterone levels in a patient on Crinone is considered a waste of time.

Were your products of conception genetically tested?

Has your partner been genetically tested? It sounds like he may be the common thread in this? We had a patient with history like yours, traced it to a balanced translocation in the male partner.

I can't begin to answer #4.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
