Quite scared about posting on this side in case I jinx anything as it is very early days but I got a call from my clinic yesterday afternoon and I'm pregnant!!! this is my second ICSI cycle. My first one was in Feb/March where I cycled with Helen G, RLV and Kirsty C who are all now proud mums now so hopefully I will follow suit!!

Going for my second set of blood tests tomorrow to check that hcg levels are doubling and progesterone levels are ok so crossing fingers for that. I have had a sharp pain down the front lower rhs over the last couple of days on and off. Hope this is ok. have seen Jacky T posts. think my pain is similar to that. hope it's not ectopic cos they say that you get a sharp pain with that don't they? has anybody had an ectopic who can expand on this? gawd, I really must relax!!!! hopefully it is just the ovaries getting back to normal as I had quite a haul (31 eggs!). thought I would stop worrying when I got pregnant but obviously not!!!

anybody else want to join me for a first trimester gang? Lisa C(fellow Feb/March cycler!) , I know you will!! beckym xx

Becky,

Congratulations!!! I am just know 5 wks. and still worried to death..

I did have an ectopic my last time around. I think you will know if your having one. I didn't just have a pain here and there I had alot of very quick sharp pains per day. Very soon after that I started experiencing that same pain as I went to the restroom and it felt as if I were dying.. It was an unmistakable(at least for me) feeling of something is not right.

I'm sure everything is fine- I have felt some sharp lower pains also this time around and yes it's very scary!!

Keep in touch,
Annette 5wks (and so far to go!)
Congratulations Becky and also Annette !!! The first part is the most scary, especially if you've had bad experiences before but think positive, relax and know that we're all worrying along with you and keeping everything crossed for you. I'm sure you'll be fine.

With lots of love - Jo. XXXXX
Beckym - here I am!!! Strange i wanted to talk about not feeling sick and didn't know where to post it. Don't want people to think that I am being completely insensitive.

Have now done 3 hpt, think I am getting a touch paranoid!! chucked the neg one away but have kept the other 2, can't stop looking at them. After 7 years it all seems a bit unreal.

How are you??? hopefully we can go through the ups and downs together as we did our last 2 cycles.

Its fab to actually post over here about me, still feel like I am discussing someone else.
Hello to everyone, I visit here regularly and see how you are all getting on.

Thanks in advance for the help and advice I will be needing over the next few months.

Love Lisa xx
Congratulations Becky...and Annette and Lisa!

I love it when lots of new positives arrive on this side. The worrying never stops, but try and relax and enjoy being pregnant.

Lisa, I wasn't sick at first and kept wishing I felt sick. Then once I started I can't stop. I'm now 12 weeks and still throwing up regularly!!

lots of love to you all
nikola.xx
Well done Becky! I've been watching out for you - we were v similar with lots of follies and history of OHSS - so pleased you got a +++!
Relax and enjoy as much as you can . . . the worrying never stops, but the excitement just gets more and more - I've started to feel my baby move in the last week and it's brilliant!

Enjoy the next 8 months, it'll fly! Beck x (19 weeks today)
Congratulations Becky, Annette and Lisa and welcome to the other side.

Lisa, I have done 4 HPT's as I could not get enough of that feeling of seeing that little blue line or pink spot. I thought I was the only serial tester - Phew!

Becky, This next two week wait will last twice as long as the first but who cares you've made it. It's a great feeling isn't it? I has some terrible twangs and twinges in my ovaries and was told it was the hormones doing it.

Don't wish for sickness as once you have it you wish you didn't.

We are all going through such an exciting time. Enjoy it and next year will be even better.

Love Dagny x

Thanks for the welcome guys and for those of you in the first trimester, looking forward to going through that with you, morning sickness and all!!

Have just had results back from the clinic for todays blood test and levels have doubled to 146 (day 14 post et) which I understand is a good thing though I had to wait until 5:50pm to get the result so was climbing up the walls thinking all sorts of things had gone wrong eg they'd made a mistake on sat etc!!. In the end it was just the blood lab being slow. Annette, i saw your post about hcg levels and understand you have been going through similar traumas over the blood tests. Worse than the wait between ec and et almost, isn't it. i shall have to get my relaxation tapes out.

LisaC - fab to see you over here. have you been going through this blood test checking malarky? I have yet to do a hpt as I think Sat would have been too early but will go and buy one tomorrow as want to keep the stick. it's so exciting!!

have to go to collect dh from station but will check in again later!! so happy to be posting over here!!! beckym xxx
Thanks for the welcome everyone.

Beckym I have not been back to the clinic, my first test 12 days post e/t was 200, so my next visit will be my first scan on the 4th December, can't wait. Wish I could check myself as would love to know what the reading is now!

I know re sickness I would hate it if I was sick, but sort of feel like its a symptom I should have (I am strange!!)

Happy posting
Love Lisa x
200. Wow Lisa that's a pretty high 12 day hcg reading - bet you're having twins (or triplets? how many did you have put back?)

Don't worry re the sickness - practically everyone I have spoken to said they didn't get sick until week 6 so you've got another week of appetite to enjoy!! eat as much as you can!! I think that small bout of nausea I had was probably something else as have not had any nausea since.

Annette - thanks for the info re ectopic - you're right mine is only a slight niggling pain and prob the ovaries settling down as am not drinking enough water!!

Did you see phil got a +ve today so will probably be over here as well I guess. hi phil, if you're checking!! join the gang. beckym xx
Hi

Beckym I had 2 put back in, could the reading be a sign of how many are in there??

How are you feeling? when is your first scan?

Congratulations Phil, saw your post under another heading on the other side! hope you are okay, have you just tested?

Speak soon
Lisa x
Hi Becky

I've been following you on the other board and am so so pleased to see you've had success - I bet it hasn't sunk in yet has it!

Take care of yourself!

Love

Rachel
x
Hi

Lisa - yes there are a couple of websites you can check out to see if your hcg levels indicate twins. type hcg levels and IVF into Google. mind you i managed to scare myself last night looking on those sites as my levels are still on the low side for IVf (though normal for a natural pregnancy it would seem) so am now a little nervous about what tomorrow's test will bring - I tested 67 on day 12 post et and 146 on day 14. in some ways wish i wasn't being tested this much as the waiting in the afternoon for the results is just horrible. they haven't given me a scan date yet. beckym
Becky,

How are you feeling. Did you find out when your first scan is yet? Mine is Dec 4th.. Seems like forever away!!!!! I also feel like I should have some morning sickness or something-- but nothing yet...
I think at this point we'll take whatever comes our way!

Thank you all for the warm welcome- I don't get on here much, only a few times a week. I keep checking on everyone..Keep me updated.

Good luck to all,
Annette
