Ghost- Question on next step

Post by JenMink55 »

Couple of questions for Ghost and anybody with experience.

I just got BFN # 3 Fresh Embryo transfer
I have no issues except tubes are blocked. DH is perfect.

We had PGD done, transferred two genetically perfect female embryos...

Ghost-- I am 37 is there ANYTHING I should be asking RE to check for?? Doesn't it seem odd after 3 cycles I can't hold an embryo in?

I also have another question: I have 1 embie on ice- genetically perfect male. Would it be better to go directly to another Fresh cycle or proceed with an FET? Also, how long should I wait between fresh cycles? If I do it too quickly will that decrease the amount of eggs I will produce?

Thanks for the responses...
Jen

I think it always makes sense to use the frozen before doing another stim.

I don't know of any issue with time between fresh cycles. I know one clinic that does consecutive stimulated menstrual cycles in egg donors (they have a frozen egg bank), so they don't seem to believe there's much of an issue with embryo quality in consecutive antagonist cycles. If you do agonist cycles, there must be an intervening "wasted" menstrual cycle.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.

Jen - sometimes FETs work when fresh cycles fail. i got bfn with fresh and bfp with fet. your endometrium environment is better in fet. good luck!!!!

Jen, I agree with Ghost and LYD on going with the FET. You already know you have a chromosomally perfect embie. And these days FET success is about as good as fresh. It's true that some women can only get pregnant with an FET too. Before you proceed, if you haven't had a hysteroscopy, consider one. This is to make sure that there's no reason for failed implantation (i.e. polyp tissue, adhesions, etc). These don't necessarily show up on regular ultrasounds. You may also ask your RE about an endometrial biopsy too. I got pregnant with a single embryo transfer and so did many, many, others. Good luck to you!
