Crinone dilema

Post by Lifelove »

I am 5 weeks today, and I had some cramping yesterday and before bed noticed a few spots of pink blood, and later some dark brown mixed with crinone. I am worried that I am having problems with the crinone, every time I open it a fair amount squirts out of the top (so I started poking a hole in it like it says to do at higher altitudes) and that helped but now it seems like there is more than just a little left in the tube so I try to put it back in and get more out but I am sure I am not getting the full dose, has anyone else had this happen? This has been happening for a few days and I am wondering if this had anything to do with the bleeding episode.

Thanks so much.

The nurse just said I can switch to a vaginal tablet 3x a day or an intramuscular progesterone, I am going to try it again for a few days and see what happens I am just hoping I am getting enough.

I also had some spotting and felt like a lot of the crinone was coming back out...sorry if that's TMI. My RE said it can cause a lot of irritation, hense the spotting and I opted to switch to PIO. Good luck!!!!

I strongly recommend the PIO. I myself didnt have a good result using the 3x daily tablet. My progesterone level was nonexistent on those tablets.

I was taking both crinone vaginally and prometrium ORALLY. I wonder if that is an option as well. I also was told to put the crinone in in the mornings because less would come out that way--seems counterintuitive--one would think it would stay in better at night, but I didn't have too much "leaking" problems.

Best of luck!!
