8dp5dt neg hpt this morn

Post by joyanna »

Sorry but this is the only place I can go and ask this question (even though I know in my heart that it is bad news). A negative hpt at 8dp5dt means it simply hasn't worked.....

There are people who have posted on this board about getting negative hpts the same day they get a positive beta so hang on in there. When is your beta?

Honestly Joyanna I have been having AF feelings the whole time (still am) but think that it is impossible to differentitae bwteen your insides getting ready for pregnnacy and getting ready for AF. So, don't read too much into that. And see Gina's story :) 13 dpo is still pretty early for a HPT. You just cannot be sure of anything until Saturday ('only' 3 full days left) so grim though waiting is you just have to hang in there and try keep that PMA up. All the best.

I had so many menstrual cramps that I was convinced AF was coming any minute and I just got a positive test.

Hang in there.

Hi jayne321, qita71 & gina728

Thank you so much for your words of inspiration and hope. I had a dreadful week last week, this ivf is tough going. No good news for me - bfn. Thank God I have a dd from ivf in 2006. We are just desperate to try and have a sibling for her but i think this is the end of the ivf road for us and we are counting our blessings. We have 1 frozen blast from this cycle and we will try an fet in November but we have to be realistic about the chances of the blast surviving the thaw and the fact that i have 3 failed fets!

Thanks again for your kind words. It really helped me and I wish you all a happy and healthy pregnancy x

Dear Joyanna,

I am so sorry. I can understand how much you want a sibling for your daughter. I have a son who's three and he's the big reason why I have gone through so many hormones, shots, appts, etc. It is so time consuming and exhausting. Not to mention, it feels so unhealthy to push our bodies so much.

I am deeply saddened by your negative result.

Praying for a surprise positive in nov.

Dear Joyanna

I am really sorry to hear your hurtful news. I really hope that you are bearing up OK and getting lots of cuddles from your little one and other half. I wish you loads of luck for November. In the meantime take care of yourself.

Hello All,

I am new to this forum and this is my first post. I'm posting out of a bit of desperation (and also bc I think I finally figured out what all of the abbreviations mean!) Can't tell you how long it took me to figure out POAS! Today is 8dp 5dt on a FET. My beta was supposed to be for tomorrow but due to the Holiday, I have to wait til Tuesday. I have taken 6 hpt between day 5 and today and ALL ARE NEGATIVE. Is it AT ALL possible that there is hope for us or should we start thinking about next steps?

PS. I've been feeling that AF is coming any second and I'm pretty in touch with my bod. I also think the Progeterone suppositories and estrogen (estradiol) pills are causing a little nausea. Sore bb's to the touch (but that is due to progesterone I've been told).

Yes, 13 dpo is still early. You are not out of the game yet so don't give up hope. You will also find stories from ladies on here that had a negative HPT the same day as getting a positive beta. You also can't read too much into AF symptoms as they are too hard to distinguish from implantation feelings. Hang on in there and wishing you lots of luck.

Hello again. I am officially 10 dp FET. We have had 1 fresh cycle and transferred only 1 embryo bc I had slight OHSS symptoms. BFN. During the 2ww for my fresh cycle I felt absolutely NOTHING. Not one symptom. Nada!
This time, (for my FET) we transferred 2 embryo's. I've had a prolonged 2ww bc of the Memorial Day holiday. UGH! I've taken 9 hpt's EVERY ONE BFN.
At 5dp FET I started to feel a slight nausea and have been having feelings inside as if AF is around the corner since 8dp.
I'm so convinced she is on her way that I am always surprised when I go to the bathroom that she isn't here yet.

Do any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? Do they mean it's over for us or is there hope? Beta test is tomorrow morning bright and early and I am dreading the following phone call to say it's a "no go"

Any advise SUPER helpful!
