Normal to look this pregnant?

Need help. I'm only 5 wk 2 days pregnant and I honestly look 5 to 6 months pregnant. Numbers look like it's only one baby. I'm actually embarrassed that I look this big. Is this common after ivf?

This is no good for the wedding that I'm supposed to attend next week. Hopes my dress fits!

jayne- I know exactly how you feel. Right after our IVF i felt huge and you could already see my stomach poking out. Turned out that I had a huge tennis ball or bigger sized cyst on one of my ovaries from the retreival. It took a few weeks to go down...but my stomach is still sticking out now because of the babies. Good luck.

I had a huge amount of bloat early too... It's probably from the progesterone.

Thanks for your message. It's nice to hear stories. I'm still not convinced it's only one even though my numbers are on the low side. I was never this big when I was pregnant with my son. My ultrasound is on Tuesday. Feels like forever! I just want to see a heartbeat and then I'll relax... whether it's one or two!

I looked 5-6 mos. right away. Turns out it was a combination of OHSS, cysts, and all the hormones left over from cycle. Yes, it is quite common in IVF pregnancies to look like that. After a few weeks the "swelling" subsided. As a matter of fact, it took a while for me to even start looking preggo again. I just looked like I had a gut once the bloating went away. Oh! Because your digestive system slows down due to progesterone it can cause you to be huge as well. Don't worry...be preggo.
