progesterone fluctuations-Ghost or anyone

I am 8w4d pregnant, saw beautiful hb again today -162!!

My concern is progesterone keeps fluctuating a LOT.

Here are my P4 numbers-

Week 4 -17
W4d4 - 42
W5D2- 80
W6D2- 35
W7D4-35
Today- 20

I am currently on Endometrium (vaginal suppositories, three time a day) and Prometrium 200 (oral, two time a day)
Is there a reason for concern?
Should I ask for PIO?
Is such wide range of fluctuation normal?

Most of that Endometrin stays in the uterus, where you want it. That is supposed to make the blood levels less relevant. Some reaches the blood where you can measure it. The oral progesterone must get to the uterus through the blood. Also, you may have some luteal production and the placenta will be making progesterone soon.

I think you should call your clinic and express your concerns. They might change your dose, although my guess is they will tell you these levels are adequate. either way, you would feel more at ease.

this is also happening to me so u are not alone on this one i had so many concerns with my first pregnancy my progestrone level was alot higher & i was on three endometrin a day now with second pregnancy the put my on 2 i received my blood result yesterday & they want to have me stop taking it but i think that is a bad idea my level is 37 so i decided i will continue taking it till mon & i go for bloodwork again on tue will just have to see good luck to u

Congratulations of your pregnancy
You are almost there to the much awaited 12 week milestone! I agree sometimes (always?) you have to be your own advocate. If I were in your shoes, I would cont. p4 too. Next week, in case my p4 drops, I will insist on pio, we have come this far and will not let anything that is in our control get in the way.
