P4 keeps fluctuating a LOT...

I am 8w4d pregnant, saw beautiful hb again today -162!!

My concern is progesterone keeps fluctuating a LOT.

Here are my P4 numbers-

Week 4 -17
W4d4 - 42
W5D2- 80
W6D2- 35
W7D4-35
Today- 20

I am currently on Endometrium (vaginal suppositories, three time a day) and Prometrium 200 (oral, two time a day)

Is there a reason for concern?
Should I ask for PIO?
Is such wide range of fluctuation normal?

babydreamz don't be concerned progesterone does fluctuate a lot. I was worried too when mine was all over the place but my RE explained that progesterone is not made consistently but rather in bursts so your numbers vary based on which day you have your blood draws. Mine last Dec was 40+ then 22 then 30 then 17 then 10 I was so nervous but as you can see by my signature it is normal and I just entered my 3rd trimester. By the way I was on Endometrium 2x a day until 16 weeks.

Thanks Anna! Your reply def. does put my mind at ease!
I did not know that P4 is made in burst.I really want to have a boring and uneventful pregnancy, but I guess we ivf girls have been thru so much, we question each and everything and do not accept " don't worry, its fine" we always want more information and exact reasoning.
