We also have severe male factor. I am said to be "normal" but I am not so sure about that. I never have responded well to meds. We were able to get pregnant twice using ICSI but miscarried both times. Not sure if the male factor had anything to do with the miscarriages or not. We are not so sure that my egg quality is good. We eventually turned to donor embryos and had our miracle baby boy. Good luck to you!
After 7 attempts (2 negatives/3 miscarriages), we have TWO miracle boys!! If you would like to hear our story, please visit http://www.ivfsuccessstories.info. Never give up, it can happen for you!!

B12- Has been shown to increase sperm counts.

CoQ10 - Acts as an antioxidant protecting the sperm cells from damage. Studies have shown a connection between coQ 10 levels and sperm health. COQ10 has also been shown to increase sperm motility. (good for egg quality too!)

Panax Ginseng - Studies have shown that ginseng helps to increase sperm counts, motility and quality of sperm.

if you talk with an acupuncturist or Naturopathic Physician, they can give you additional supplements . . . just make sure your RE is on board so he/she can approve of anything . . .

Good luck =)

Thanks!

My DH has been taking CoQ10 but how much should I be taking?? My RE didnt recommend anything for me to help improve anything! he also has been taking Conception XR it has tons of vitamins...silennium Lcaritine and all. Were hoping it helps improve our embryo quality after fertilization! We have very poor ferilization last time....very confusing!

Lauren, I had DH take 400 units of Coq10 a day. Also make sure you google the vitamins that your DH is taking, I remember finding some items in his vits that were actually NOT beneficial to sperm! So make sure each ingredient is! No alcohol, no smoking, boxer shorts!

I took DHEA, Coq10 and did acupuncture.

Super good luck and tons of baby dust for you!

We do not have a severe male factor, but had low scores in all sperm test categories.

My husband did the following as per direction of our RE:

Selenium
Vitamin E
Multivitamin
Reduced shower temperature
Stopped wearing underpants
Increased water drinking
My husband already did not drink alcohol or smoke but would have stopped if he did

We still had to do ICSI but we're pregnant.
