Ghost - stim duration and egg quality - please help

if we stim for too long will it affect the egg quality, lining , implantation or have any other issue?

i usually stim for 8-9 days in antagonist protocol and got 9-11 eggs.but this time with micro flare protocol i have only got 3 good follicles so far. my re said that i will have to continue stimulation for a longer period to see if i can get more follicles or if not this cycle might get cancelled. if there are only 3 follicles now(day 6 of stim) will new ones be able to catch up now? but then these 3 will not have good eggs,right? im confused and a little depressed with the outcome of this cycle. i was really looking forward for this new protocol to work.

There was a nice study several years ago in which they randomized patients to stim until the largest follicles reached 17mm or else 2 days later. The group that went longer had more embryos but lower implantation rates. The likely cause was thought to probably be reduced receptivity of the "lining".

if they let me stim for more time to see if they can recruit more follicles, what will happen to my 3 good follicles which are already big? will they still have good quality eggs in them if they wait for too long?

Studies have shown bigger follicles make better eggs, up to at least 24mm.
