I am Shakila from India. Going to IVF for the first time - have went through 3 process of IUI but no success.
Could any one please suggest me before starting IVF what kind of diet I need to take like
1. Morning break fast
2. Lunch and dinner
3. Whether can I take bath in warm water?
4. Can I Lay in the bed without cot?
5. Can I sit in the floor.
6. Most important can i do house work like cooking?
Then after starting IVF treatment what are the food and excercise restriction. Please explain me, I am from India,Bangalore.
I don't know if you've received any responses to your question yet, but here you go:
Regarding food:
Eat a balanced diet. Make sure you are getting enough protein (are you a vegetarian?). Include a lot of fruits and veggies in your diet.
By 'BATH' if you mean soaking in a tub of hot water, usually that is alright until you start stimming. Once your eggs start growing you might want to stick with showers.
Positive for questions 4, 5 and 6. you can do everything. But during the stimming phase, once your ovaries start to get larger, you might experience some discomfort (you may not also). At that time, depending on your level of discomfort, try cutting back on a few activities.
Once the transfer is complete, take it real easy for a few days - then may be you can delegate cooking and cleaning and other stuff.
For my successful cycle, I took almost complete bed-rest for 2-3 days and then did very little work around the house until my pregnancy test.
Most importantly, listen to your doctor and your body. If your body says you can't just take it easy - don't push yourself. Everybody is different in how they react to the meds.
Get plenty of rest during the whole process.
Hope that helps. Keep us posted on how your cycle went.
