Hello from CT!

Post by CT_Michele »

Hi Everyone! I haven't been a round the past couple of months, I needed a break. My last failed attempt this past April was really difficult. The decision was made to have my husband do HCG injections for a minimum of 3 months to try and boost sperm production to give us the best chance next time. His testosterone levels have increased a lot but last SA still had nothing. I think we will be gearing up for another TESE in the fall with another IVF before the end of the calendar year.

I just wanted everyone to know that I am still around and think about everyone here frequently, even if I am not posting actively. I will try to check in more often. We are in the process of buying a new home for our hopefully bigger family. School year is upon us, even though my first two days were canceled because of the hurricane (I think my school is still without power too!). My weight loss is not going well. RE will be disappointed. I am hoping once this school year actually starts I can get back on a strict, regular diet and lose some pounds before the next procedure.

I hope everyone is well! Don't ever hesitate to PM me! :D

Hello dear! :D

I am glad you are doing well even though you are not posting  ...actually I am ON and OFF with posting my self but thats ok, there are no rules between us, we all need to take a break when we feel like it

Come and join us on the Fall Cycle board! I my self have joined the girls only a couple of days ago. Unfortunatelly there are familiar names in that board from our friends from previous cycles. I am planning on starting my next cycle October-November and I am confident that it will be the ONE for me! :D

Hey!!! Good luck on the house hunt and this time I am sure you are getting that BFP my friend!!! :D

Hi Michelle - i remember you as one of the first people i "met" n this board in summer 2009 when i got my DS and you were going through hellish FET and your E2 woudnt cooperate. sorry to remind you of that! i always think of your DD when i get low betas and hope that my low betas will work out the way your did - into a healthy child. but alas so far my 2 low betas turned into an ectopic and a chemical . anyway - hope to see you on the fall board!!

Michele - So good to see you around here again! Glad you all got through Irene intact too! i cannot believe that the beautiful Miss Ella is 3! I remember her turning 2, boy time really does fly, doesnt it? I'm right with you on the need to drop some pounds. Well I say that and think that, but ummmm, I'll admit that my eliptical machine has gotten dusted more than actually used  . I check in and read way more than I post these days, but will keep checking in to see how you're doing and i'm hoping to have our last try most likely Oct/ Nov - maybe we'll be trying at the same time? Big kisses to you all and hopefully you'll need a bigger house real soon! Much love my friend - xoxoxo

Hello Everyone and thank you for the very warm welcome back! :D

Rio - My friend! My gsd boy is also growing too fast! 91 lbs, and hopefully not too much more! He is about 1.5 yrs old now. Here is a recent pic: Image
And DH is on HCG injections. The same stuff I take to trigger. Apparently research has shown that it has the potential to increase sperm production when take for a minimum of 3 months.

Katie- Hello, how are you girly! I can not believe Miss Ella is 3 either. She started full day preschool this past monday. Here is my favorite pic from her party last weekend... me and my baby girl! Image
Maybe I will join the fall thread. Gotta get through puchasing our new home and moving, then I can make a plan for next cycle (I am thinking late oct or nov.)

Always- where in CT are you? What clinic do you use? I live in West Haven, but teach in Waterbury. Waterbury students were supposed to start on monday, but school was cancelled for power outages on mon, tues and today. Fingers crossed that I will be working tomorrow! Still waiting to hear!

Sunshine - Hey girl, how have you been! Much luck for the fall cycle!

Dogz- great to see you still around too!

Anton - hello hello! Good to "see" you again!

Lyd- Oh boy, I was one of the first you met?? That makes me feel like I have been on these boards for waaaaay too long! Can't believe it has been 4 years since I started my ivf journey! Yeah, and that whole e2 mess really stunk! lol But at least that is over with! I do hope an upcoming beta works out for you! I am glad my story of Ella's low beta can give some people hope!

Thanks again for the warm welcome ladies! It's good to be back. I missed everyone! :D

p.s. sorry if the pics show up huge! I tried to resize on photobucket but it's buggy!

Awww, honey Miss Ella is just a cutie patootie! What a face she has! I'll keep my fingers crosse that we get to cycle together soon, oh and your puppy is too sweet. Bet he loves playing with Ella, and watching over her. Ryan is 10 months old already (have no idea how THAT happened!) and his new favorite game is climbing over Gracie our huge sloppy english mastiff, and she is so patient with the baby even when he uses her fur to pull himself up. They're both such characters  have missed you loads Michele, try to stop in more often, wont you? - xoxoxo

Sunshine - I do remember you honey, how have you been? I try to keep up around here but sometimes I miss days worth of posts and it gets hard to keep track of where girls are anymore. I've been "stalking" Ester so I got to catch up a bit. Thankfully you're car problems are cleared up and now you can focus on that BFP. I just had a failed attempt for a sibling and am waiting for my WTF appt on 9/13 - if my RE says that those last little 2 embies are promising then we'll go ahead and take the plunge to transfer them asap. This is the last try so I'm praying that one of those little embies wants to stick around. If we get the green light then I'll jump on the Fall board so I can have some company while I get on the FET roller coaster. Eeek! it makes me nervous just thinking about it  - Much love to you xoxoxo

kaite99,
Awww thank you for responding back, it's nice to know I'm in good company with some familar faces this fall, no longer the "newbie" but more the "old folkie." Cannot believe this October will mark my one year anniversary with our forum and still trying but when I read the success stories it certainly keeps me going. I will most likely be cycling with you in late Sept-October. We want to get our last try in definately before Thanksgiving...Just waiting to hear back from my RE with instructions for next month, but still going to try naturally for Sept, I still beleive in miracles everyday. Much Love to you and know I will be cheering you on BIG TIME THIS UPCOMING Fall! :D Christy

CT - you girls are so gorgeous and happy and your GSD is so handsome! Our boy GSD is now 1.5 yo too! I cannot believe our little beans are turning 3! I posted some pics on the pregnant board 2011 combined group of my two kiddos! So glad to see you here and I hope that it all goes smooth with the move and gearing up for #2 very exciting!

Sunshine - DHA is some fish supplement to boost brain function, DHEA is somewaht like a hormone and it is supposed to help with fertility but not proven, my RE was all for it and the cycle that I took it, my fsh was better than 3 yrs prior and so were my antral follicle counts!

Mellie - how are you surviving 3 under 3? Would love to see pics, my pics are on the 2011 pregnant board!!!!!
